Hi guys!

Back in March 2005 we released our first chapter for our Star Wars Fanfilm Trilogy called Crimson Contention IV: Spirit of Darkness. After a long break, we have an update...

After taking onboard various feedback from fellow fanfilm viewers, we have listened and learned (and still learning) to push the trilogy forward.

We have updated our website which has a fresher and cleaner look. There is a wealth of information to be viewed here with plenty of new features such as our video journals, snapshot gallery and forum pages.

Regarding the next chapter, The Blood Genesis, we are now in pre-production phase. We are shoooting in HD format, updating the wardrobe set and creating a larger blue screen stage to. Filming will not start for a couple of months yet so we are still testing the HD footage and matching that with new CG render tests with storyboards to match.

In the meantime, please view our website at http://www.crimsoncontention.co.uk and let us know what you guys think. Enjoy and may the force be with you...

Kind regards,
Qbase

I just looked at last years thread, and you said that it was 320 MB. I'd like to download that one cause I think the quality is probably higher. But I can't find it. The only one I can find is the 156 MB version.

I enjoyed the first film and I'm looking forward to the second. Is there any way I can save the video to my computer?

Hi guys!

The website is a bit of a teaser and a riddle when you hit the first screen. Hit 'CONTENTION' to enter.

The website has been updated considerably so play away as there are many new features to be had.

As for the movie, the 320mb version has been deleted. If you follow the links, you will find what you are looking for. You can also save the movie and trailers directly onto your MAC/PC by clicking on the 'DIRECT DOWNLOAD' links.

Browsw away and hopefully enjoy. May the force be with you...

Hi guys!

Would like to say 'thanks' for the feedback we have been getting. Some good responses regarding the next chapter and the new look website. All is appreciated. It's nice to receive good constructive criticism than the usual 'this is crap' messages...

I've noticed you used voice overs. Most likely to eliminate background noises.
It's a good thing, but they sound a little forced. Maybe something to adress to next time.

The droid general looked pretty neat, but the colors stood out to much. I also didn't really
like the voices of the droids... To silent.

But in general I had fun watching it! I'm wondering what the second installment is going to bring us.

Yes we did use voice overs. It worked out for the better but I agree, they were a little forced. It's something we shall address for the next chapter.

Glad you enjoyed the first part in our trilogy series. We have taken onboard a lot of views through feedbacks in forums and personal emails and hope to push as much of this into the next movies. The next chapter The Blood Genesis will hopefully show improvements we have learned along the way.

Thanks again...

So everyone is just gonna pretend they didn't hear that the sound effects for turning off the Lightsabers are the sound effects for turning them on?

Hi guys!

It's the little things that get noticed but a good observation. Our first fanfilm chapter had a few odds and sods, but we learn and take the constructive comments on board that people from this forum mentioned in past threads and also the emails we received which is a good help. For the next chapter, we hope to rectify these little discrepancies and hopefully better our last effort. Thanks.
