Re: YouTube.
My 2-year old son, who for some reason is a lightsaber junkie (go fig'yer), is a huge huge HUGE fan of Ryan vs. Dorkman and its sequel. I mean, he's obsessed. He'll go to our office computer, climb onto the chair, point to the monitor, and go "Tsssss!" (his impression of a lightsaber ignition). And he'll sit there and watch it enraptured.
Mommy and Daddy have to admit that the repeat viewings are pretty cool for them, too.
He also likes Ewoks. We're doing what we can to break him of this. Wish us luck!

It warms my heart to know that people are allowing their toddlers watch actiony films filled with violence and maiming.
I know it sounds like I'm being sarcastic or snarky, but I'm not. Kids, even very small kids, can handle more than most people give them credit for, and in an age of blaming movies and/or videogames alternatively for maladjusted children (who are probably so because of overprotective parents), I'm always glad to hear when someone isn't sheltering their child from entertainment.
And it's always good to hear we've got another fan.

Thanks, Michael, I gotcha from the get-go. As a child of Star Trek, Jonny Quest, Speed Racer, Johnny Sokko, Ultra-Man, and lot o' other action-y fare, I figure that a) I grew up OK -- or so I like to believe, and b) my boy can handle watching a lightsaber duel here and there. We don't indulge him in any disturbing pulpy-head blood and guts type media, but we don't really have a problem with "fantasy" action, which I think RvD(2) qualifies.
We have three toy lightsabers around the house (well, four... but one's been busted from over-exuberant play). Our boy doesn't pick up a saber and go whacking away at things, he wants Mommy or Daddy -- or one of our guests -- to pick one up too. His aim is true; he doesn't chop at body parts, but swings directly for the opposing saber. And -- go figure -- when we go to the playground, he's usually the best-behaved kid, with no pushing or hitting or kicking the other children. We still have to cure him of "mine mine mine" but we figure there's some time to get that worked out.

hehe, my son did the excact same sound when I first introduced him to my lightsaber props. The funny thing is, he wasn't even 10months old
Now he's 20 months, a "MINE MINE MINE" freak, and really loves the word "NOOOOOOOO!" when we ask him... well, anything :P

Allright, Aaron! (my son)
So, in waiting of my RvD2 DVD, I downloaded the ISO from ryanvsdorkman.com and played the disc in the DVD player in the living room.
My son, previously addicted to "thomas the tank engine", "Elias" (norwegian kids show), and the "The land before time" series, was in awe. He didn't take his eyes of the screen once, and once it was done, he almost cried. I took out the DVD to put "the land before time" in it, but my kid was really hurting to see RvD and RvD2 again, and uttered the word "aight, aight!" (kids-slang of "fight")
So, Ryan, Michael, you've got yourself a whole new generation of fans

Well I had to go away this weekend and immediately thought of taking my laptop and the DVD with me for the long car trip... So yeah, I've watched all of it !!
Very VERY well made guys. I wasn't bored at all, even for a second! I'd like to compliment Ryan for making me laugh at least 5 times throughout the whole DVD, the rest of the people in the car were getting slightly pissed off at my laughing
By the way, where is this website where I can see more? (Ryan was showing marks on his back from slamming into something I think, and made the comment "You can see more on my website"). The Hiro reaction thing out the front of Capitol Records at the very start of the recording the soundtrack thingo made me wet myself!
I'm wanting more! Hehe...
Another thing worth noting is that I remember commenting about you guys using some of the original ideas I had planned to use in my LCC entry last year. Well watching through the DVD one of you mentioned that you had a sequence you had to cut out that had Ryan cutting out a chunk in the pole, and using the force to throw it at Mike... I was planning this for this year's LCC entry
I'm really disappointed you didn't get to film all of the sequences you'd planned to film. They would've made an awesome lightsaber duel even better! Well now I'm really looking forward to RvD3! Can't wait!

Blah. Still nothin' in the mailbox.
I'd kill myself, but I lack the disc for which to snap in half and slit my wrists with.

I know credits are simple and all but what program did you all use for your ending credits?
