As for ideas...how about one where Anakin drops by and Harry starts getting jealous because Obi-Wan is spending all his time hanging out with his apprentice and Harry feels left out?

We screened the episode at a 'Harry Potter Fan' gathering on campus last weekend. It was a wonderful hit with the witches and wizards.
Quick question guys:
Would you rather see the big duel between Kenobi and Potter in Episode III, or would you rather wait one or two more episodes?

We're currently writing the third episode, so look for that coming up in late July/early August. It will feature some more charactes from film universes. Fun stuff.

*August Update*
We have completed pre-production on Episode III and plan to begin shooting next week. Right now III is set for a late August/Early September release, and IV for a late September.

Hey, I just watched all of the episodes, and I have to say, great commitment guys. I mean, sticking with it this long is really somethin', you've really accomplished a lot. But, gee, um... it sure seems like you could find better ways to spend your money. You didn't buy that camera, DAT, and lights, did you?!
Your acting needs a LOT of work. All I can think of while watching the two of you is, "THOSE ACCENTS ARE HORRID." It really takes a lot out of it for me. It sounds like you spend a lot of time memorizing lines and rehearsing, but it all goes out the window when you start stumbling over lines, not because you can't remember them, but because you're not sure of how to pronounce them.
I can find nothing technically wrong with the camera work or editing. It's visually unexciting but then again, that's OK cause' you seem to be striving for a sort of cinema verite feel. There aren't any continuity errors or jump cuts. I liked the scene in III "..I have to study for finals..." with the whip pans back and forth from Harry to Obi Wan, that showed some great choreography in the camera work.
I have to bemoan your choice of music. It really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to play John Williams' music in the background the WHOLE time. Even in the Harry Potter and Star Wars movies, the music lets up at some point or another. I mean, you're making a comedy. Why are you playing Fawkes' Theme when Harry says, "well, the locksmith's here." What purpose does that serve, other than to remind us, "Yes! This is a professional movie you know, it has professional music!"
But your cynical synopsis of the third installment is the final straw: "Sounds pretty dang exciting doesn't it?" Um, no, actually, it doesn't. It sounds pretty damn boring. And that's what this comes down to. There's nothing technically wrong with your pacing or writing; it's just boring.

First of all, I want to thank you for writing such an extensive review. Second of all, I guess I should mention that I'm pretty freakin' excited that you gave us a critique, even though you tell us it is boring. What can I do: it is the truth.
Okay, so you know, my name is Jasmine Horn. I was the editor/DP/camera operator. I'm sure the Producer will swing by sometime soon as well.

The answer: Thank the Force, no. The cast and crew all attend the Savannah College of Art and Design. From them we are able to check out equipment: the more classes you take, the more and better equipment you can check out. I'm the oldest one on the crew, so whatever I was able to check out was what we got, which I agree isn't much. The running joke on set was that we were over budget, but the fact is that we didn't spend anything.
As for the rest of the critique, it is very helpful. I know I'm guilty of being a poor DP, so I enlisted the help of the director to assist with setups. The best camera work was the "I have to study for finals..." which was actually not my idea, maybe Josh or Tim's? I am inordinately pleased that there was nothing technically wrong with the editing. That is my focus of study, but editing can only do so much if the shots are boring to begin with.
Thank you for the critique. We will be taking this into consideration. I hope others will be kind enough to give their input as well, because we're not stopping and the next one needs to be better. May The Force Be With You ^_^
