Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
Im sure most of the people here remember the classic lucasarts adventure games.
Myself and some friends put together a concept trailer for Indy and Atlantis.
So, check it out,
here.

RE: Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
Well, I dig the concept, and I kinna like the shooting style. Even though some of the FX are kinna obvious, I don't think that'd get in the way of enjoying this film.
However, I think Indy needs a more heroic reveal, a better intro. I mean, yeah, we know what the trailer is for just because we got it here, but I think it'd still be better to tease to audience, only show some mysterious guy for a while, not show that it's Indy until he have to save Sofia from some Nazis or something.
Also...the guy you've got playing Indy? I'm just not buyin' it. Even if I ignore the fact that he doesn't look a lot like Harrison Ford, he doesn't have the voice or the attitude down at all. I mean, Ford didn't voice Indy in
The Fate of Atlantis
, and even though the guy playing Indy in the game wasn't perfect, I was still able to buy it as being Indy because the attitude was right an the voice was pretty close. Your Indy...is just a guy in an Indy costume.
Flaws aside though, I think I'd enjoy this fan film and look forward to seeing it when it's done.

Funny, I just re-played Fate of Atlantis last month.
I do like the visual style, although it doesn't really look like an Indiana Jones film, but it has a nice distinct quality. Very impressive for a proof of concept trailer.

Pretty much what they said. But I loved it still - Fate of Atlantis is one of the best computer games of all time, and would've made an awesome Indy IV back in the day.

That was very nicely done!
I loved the auditorium scene, felt just like the game...
some of the baloon and plane shots looked stunning.
It's great to see such a good quality piece of work, it seems the easier it is to get stuff out there the less good quality stuff you actually see.

Very nice! I like the concept! There is one thing your missing. Indiana Jones films are shot as b movies. Steven like's to have that Saturday matinee serial feel. Also you could use better
gear
. However, i like the FX shots and the whole reveal of the title. Maybe you would be interested in helping me out with my Indiana Jones Fan Film.

Thanks for the feedback.
Re: Visual Style. The general tone of the piece is supposed to be more invocative of the game, rather than the films, hence the bluish nights, and general high saturation of colors. A lot of people say "Sky Captain". I can see that. It's interesting, because that whole style has it's own brand of homage to serials.
Since all the lines are pulled directly from the game, it was discussed whether Doug's voice should be ripped from the talkie version of the game. I didn't think that the quality would cut it.

So, the project has been up for a while, and I cut together a Behind the scenes video, which goes into detail about some of the finer points, and has breakdowns for the more complicated composites. It runs about 12 minutes.
Clickie
Thanks.

I
loved
Fate of Atlantis (although my favorite PC game is the Secret of Monkey Island). I'll probably watch it just for that fact.
