Hmmm...I find it facsinating that the 501st is the only group I've asked who WASN'T interested. Everyone else (RL, local FanForce), said 'go for it'.
Am I missing something?

Thanks! If nothing else, I'm learning a valuable lesson...
I do not like being a producer! I spend nearly half my time on the phone or on message boards lining up talent and looking for rescources to make verything go smoothly.

Oh, shumgoo! 
In order to film at my desert location, I would need a permit...which would cost $250!
How does everyone else manage to shoot on location without breaking the bank? Sneak in at night? Bribe the gaurds? Jedi Mind tricks?

ATTENTION CAST/CREW!
Location scouting is more or less finished. Unless something else comes up, the locations are as follows:
-Cuddeback Dry Lake; (???)
-Mojave Narrows Regional Park; Victorville, CA
-Jackson Lake; Big Pines, CA
Location dates are pending, and the following weekends are currently being considered:
*Feb. 29- March 1*
*March 7-8*
*March 14-15*
*March 28-29*
Locations will be shot in the following order:
1.) Cuddeback Dry Lake
2.) Jackson Lake
3.) Mojave Narrows
Specific actors needed will be announced soon.
I apologize for the late notice, but the Location Manager (Dad) is currently out of comission. Please contact me to let me know which of these dates will work for you.

Argh!
Why on earth is it so hard to get Civillians for a FanFilm? Usually you say 'fanfilm', and they automatically think 'you only need Jedi/Sith/bounty hunters/smugglers/pilots/face characters/troopers.' or 'wah, I don't have a costume, I can't be in it' Whatever happened to Extras?
Sheesh, you'd think that from all those FanFilm special features, everyone would jump at the chance to be in a Star Wars movie. Not here. People barely sneeze at it out here. And Civillian costumes are so EASY! All you have to do is throw together a few things out of your closet (as long as it's not blue jeans), add some boots and a belt, and bingo!
