All these users starting blogs have made me want to jump onto the bandwagon.
So I just started my own.
It's not interesting yet, though.

Yeah, I've been meaning to start a blog myself... Just never really got around to it... I always figured I'd wait till I had the studios site up, and then do a video blog on the production of the various projects...
But yeah. I just started one. Not anything to post about at the moment, but... Well, yeah.

"Speed Racer" is quite a thing. It's the kind of thing you have to see on the big screen I think, not something to own and treasure forever. But there's any number of dazzling shots, the performances are all top-notch even in thankless roles and Christina Ricci's sexy as hell.
It's not much in the way of story, but what story there is is nice and even touching in a small way.
Even if it is not a great movie, it is a great experience, and an interesting movie at worst.

For those who read comics, any recommendations on where to start with the character of Deadpool? Is there one that I have to read?

Deadpool is my favorite character. So do him justice and start with the 1997 series. Then move onto Cable and Deadpool which is a much more easy and fun read.
EDIT: If you can't find the 1997 series, just go with issue #1 of Cable and Deadpool.
His first appearance ever is in New Mutants #98, but it's sort of hard to find.

Well, Deadpool being my favorite comic character from marvel, I'd have to say that the first place that comes to mind for you to start would be the first comic that he was in...
His very first appearance was actually in in '63 in "The Avengers", issue #366. Then issue #98 of "The New Mutants", and four issues of "Wolverine". And quite a few different series', up until '97, when he got his own series, which lasted 71 issues, and lasted up until '02, I think. And of course there's the "Cable & Deadpool" series, which started in '04, and I think is still going. I haven't gotten to follow it to closely though.
He's actually been in quite a few other comics aside from the ones that I listed. But I'd say that it depends on what you are wanting to find out about the character. If you want to know the most about him that you can, then every comic issue that he's in. But I'd say that you'd be good just reading the "Deadpool" Series.
If you want, I could send you a full list of his appearances.
(god I feel like such a geek right now, and yet it's kinda cool because I actually had a comment that had to do with the question...)

That reminds me, they played that trailer right before Speed Racer, and I tell ya. I'm still pumped.
I'd even seen it before, and I got a little excited watching it. Not as excited as during the RotS trailers or anything, but it should be pretty cool.
Don't let the poster fool you. The lightsabers aren't bad.
I wrote up my thoughts on Speed Racer, but did it in my blog cuz I knew that it was all spoilers that I wanted to talk about. My head's still spinning. Like, I have a grip on what happened in the movie, I just don't know how to put what I'm thinking into words. Here's my attempt: http://thespenceleyspoileriffic.blogspot.com/
I may have to revise that in the morning. It feels a little random.
What Adam said is pretty spot on. Definitely something to see in the theater.

Incorrect. Issue #366 of the original Avengers series was published in September 1993, while New Mutants #98 was published in February of 1991, thus making his first appearance New Mutants #98.
Pwned.

I bought a depth of field adapter for my Hv20 sometime in January, and I've been getting some pretty awesome shots with it after getting over the learning curve.
