Whoa, whoops. Yeah, I had that turned around in my head.
EDIT: w00t! top of the page!
EDIT 2: Got a technical terms question for all y'all - Speaking in FPS gamer terms (if only for lack of another more universally understood system), Pan=Turn, Dolly=Walk Forward/Back, Truck=Strafe, and Crane=Jump/Crouch, right?

I'd think that strafing would also be a dolly analogue.
Edit: Oh, also, Tilt=Look Up/Down.

Funny, I would think that would come automatic to you Bgii...
But yeah... And strafing is simply referred to as tracking left and right, it's misused when called a dolly. Crane is up and down, not jump and crouch. ? There's also Dutching the camera...tilting the housing sideways.

Okay Dorkman, fess up. Why you in your mod colors again, homeboyeee?
Also, we can now apparently see our stars. I bet most of you guys don't even remember the good old days when you could see everyone's stars beside their name at all times. Heh.
EDIT: Oh, I get it. It's to celebrate the JC's tenth birthday tomorrow. Yeah.
EDIT: The stars are gone now, what the hell?
EDIT: And now they're back

Oooh, stars.
I only ask because I hear the terms mixed up so much these days I'm not really quite sure myself, now. Do correct me if I'm wrong, dollying and trucking(or is it tracking now) are not the same thing, but happen in the same plane and refer to perpendicular axises. No?

Funk wins. That's about the only good reference I would've thought of.

Yeah, pretty much, it's just that a dolly is forward and backwards, while the trucking shot is the same basic move, the camera is looking sideways (left or right) as appose to looking straight ahead in a dolly.
Essentially, nobody uses the terms as what they are, a track shot these days is expressed as a dolly. Or tracking dolly.

I slither in with this post....
CAPTAIN AMERICA..... My problem isn't so much with our country, but the patriotic hero that represents our failed economic society... and him being frozen Nate... that was already done and failed in a 90's version of the film. I don't know too much about the comic, only what I have read on wiki. But I bring this back up cause I am kinda a lil obsessed with him right now. I was thinkin, what comic hasn't been made yet, I landed on him, as the early film flopped. I found out a few days ago they are making a movie in 2011, well, I am just putting together in my head a story/plot idea and some design concepts as that's one movie I really wouldn't want to make, but if I had to, how would I make it cool and get myself to believe in this and accept it as real and not over the top, Iron Man/Hulk style. (just some iron man stuff was too far out there. The Hulk, all of it)
I'm redesigning his costume as all marvel costumes are super crappy. (except spidey) Captain America is one of the worst costumes that follows the DC Batman/Superman cookie cutters, underwear on the outside, freak show costumes. The costume needs to be wicked! (Hollywood can screw up the costume like they do most things, like, the Hulk, X-men costumes, GI Joe costumes, ect. ect. I also think the story needs to be upgraded slightly and changed regardless of the origin. I hate the idea of, it was an experiment gone bad, now he has super powers. Blah, Marvel has some good stuff, but most of there character origins seem to be the same unrealistic crap! (all accept X-men) But I haven't read all there stories, so... I think it will be interesting to see whenever it comes out, and I can look back at my stuff and compare what I had to what they have. But I am not holding my breath on this one being made.
Question, why in the world does he have those stupid lil wings on the side of his head? Those are the FIRST thing to go!!! Followed by the pirate boots and gloves... then the color pattern has to change!
Plus, I think his suit should be much more practical, kinda like the new batman suit, not patriotic tights/or rubber. Rather a suit for war, as he would probably be one of hundreds of US soldiers genetically manipulated for war. Not just the one sick brave lil volunteer, crappy... I'll post what I have when I have it, first thing though, I will make the shield
EDIT: Also, if he is for America, he should fight our central governments corruption, that's where the war on terror starts, not outside, but from within our nation!

Yeah, X-men was definitely the most realistic superpowered mutant backstory. Way less far-fetched than an engineer building an exo-suit.
