oh..........oh sweet jesus no
Honestly I'll be happy if Nolan just stays clear of Robin completely, and batgirl, and all that rediculous crap.

I hate the Batman Voice as well, but even more so when he uses when talking to people who know who he is. Like the long conversation with Lucius. He KNOWS who you are, dammit, you need not speak like a psycho!

Eh, if they do the Grayson story properly, I wouldn't mind there being a Robin.
And if they just skip over Barbra Gordon for Batgirl, and just go straight to having Zhang Ziyi play the Cassandra Cain Batgirl, that'd be just fine with me too.

"If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I'll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work." - Christian Bale
Link
The anticipation around the new Batman movie has reached unprecedented levels. It's crazy to think that in two weeks you can walk around and ask anybody in America what they thought of the new Batman movie and 98% will be able to respond.
- In New York and Los Angeles, there were not only midnight showings, but 3AM and 6AM showings -- all were sold out before July 4th.
- Certain theatres in Kansas City and Miami are allowing patrons to sit and wait in the theatre next to the one showing The Dark Knight and listen to that theatre rumble and vibrate for $40.
- A theatre in Bucks County, PA will let you lick the film chemicals off the projectionist's fingers for $52.
- AMCs across Ohio are allowing people, for $55, to have some of the leftover popcorn that's left in the theater, hoping some information from the movie leaked into the butter.
- At certain theatres in Florida and Maine, you can hold the film reel for $99.50 and bite into one frame.
- In Nebraska, certain Loews theatres are allowing people to pay $160 to stare at the poster outside the theater, and another $20 to sketch it with charcoal.
- In Charleston, South Carolina somebody will hold you up and MAYBE ask you "Why So Serious?" For $340. 9 times out of 10 he'll just ask you if the money you spent was worth it. You have to answer yes.
- At the Atlanta Cineplex Odeon 22, you can pay $475 to hold an exact replica of an actual ticket that would have gotten you into the movie, and go into a special isolation booth where you may scream at the top of your lungs and nobody can hear you -- guaranteed.
- In Dubai, a single ticket costs three islands. There are no soda refills.
- The theaters in Maine and Florida will also set up a film reel to unravel the movie straight down your throat and into your stomach for $100,000.
- Adam West has been sitting outside a New Jersey 7-11 offering to wink at random customers for two dollars. He's made $3.5 million since last week.
- Seal's 1995 single "Kiss From A Rose" off the Batman Forever soundtrack was nominated for 18 Grammy awards this year (including best spoken word album).
-For $10, you can purchase a rock and participate in the public stoning of the one critic on RottenTomatoes who kept the movie from getting a perfect score.
- The Dark Knight has already leaked online, though computers made before 2009 can't handle how gripping Heath Ledger is as The Joker.
- Rumor has it that an elderly patron left an hour and a half into the film due to "severe stomach pain" and was immediately hospitalized for "being a **** idiot."
- In Japan, the sequel to the Dark Knight sequel is already out. The villain is Clayface.

It's time for another round of "pictures of doggans with people much cooler and more famous than him"!

Regarding Batman's voice, come on, if you were a badass billionaire with ninja skillz who looked that intimidating, wouldn't you want to sound like a badass too? Even around people like Lucius and Rachel? I personally like Bale's Batman voice.

As a villain? No.... But having Jennifer Connelly play her would be great. I've had a crush on her ever since Labyrinth.
We've agreed that Robin shouldn't be involved, though I agree that if the Grayson story is played our correctly, we could see a more realistic version of Robin (i.e. no brightly colored costumes). But what about the other villians? Catwoman, Riddler, Poison Ivy, the Penguin, Clay Face, Mr. Freeze? I'd say the Penguin would be the most conceivable.

My dream Batman villain fanfic teamup would be the Penguin (Philip Seymour Hoffman) and the Riddler (don't know).
Riddler would take up where Joker left off, except with more style and less substance. He co-opts Joker's methods (the various social experiments) and hype, and adds an absurd green costume and henchmen with silly names. He's not out there with a philosophy, he's just an OCD, borderline-Asperger's, too-smart-for-his-own good Mensa mind with a real need for attention, even vindication.
But to actually make a real mark besides putting people in trouble and leaving disturbing riddles around, he knows he needs someone who's got the goods.
Meanwhile, Gotham's become a Batman-hostile kind of town, but (Riddler aside) a safer one as well, thanks to all the mobsters Harvey Dent put behind bars. An arms dealer from overseas steps into fill the void; nattily dressed, impeccably charming, a true gentleman looking to make some new opportunities in a grazed field. They call him the Penguin.
Riddler and Penguin team up, with Riddler acting as the public face of the operation while Penguin works in secret, within the system, signing the checks and making the deals. Riddler's crimes against the public then seem to calm down a bit as he focuses his energy on the greatest riddle of all: WHO IS BATMAN?--and marshalls Gotham to his side on a crusade against the Dark Knight...
An ALTERNATE villain casting choice, which I just thought of today, would be Amy Adams as Poison Ivy.
You know, the beautiful redhead who won our hearts in "Junebug" (Oscar nominee!) and "Enchanted", who's made a career out of playing sweetie-pies who smile a lot.
I think it would be a great twist to have her play something completely against her image, a great challenge for her.
Poison Ivy in the Nolanverse would be an eco-terrorist: trust fund kid grown up, graduated from Berkeley, wears camo and a tank top, sprays some kinda homegrown fumes that only affect animal life. (Like the gardener's weed-killer backpack, except, doesn't kill weeds.)
Rick McCallum loves you!

I greatly enjoyed the no-man's-land storyline. Batman vs. Two-Face and Lex Luthor would be pretty incredibly bad-ass. Throw in Bruce Willis as David Cain, Zhang Ziyi as Casandra, Connelly as The Oracle, Angelina Jolee as Huntress, and maybe Alfeck or Keanu as Grayson, you've got yourself a bang-up movie.
It'd probably cost a couple billion with that line up, but hey, a guy can dream, right?
Ooo, how 'bout Sam Jackson as the voice of Killer Croc?

So, I was bored tonight, and decided to make my own updated TOS uniforms, as they may appear in Star Trek XI. I really liked the field jacket of "The Cage", and combined that with the coloring and style of the TOS uniforms. So here is what I came up with...
Here are the old school ones for comparison sake...

Nice. The lapels are a bit reminiscent of the BSG uniforms.
