Damn! Story idea by Spielberg and written by Orson Scott Card. Wish I'd played it.

Wu Xia film news of the day: There's a BTS teaser for the film Ip Man over on Twitch. No it has nothing to do with Internet protocols. Donnie Yen plays the man who was Bruce Lee's instructor and there's an overall feeling like they're hoping for another Fearless.

Any bets on what the US title will be? I'm guessing Have Fist, Will Travel.

Yay, let's butcher another martial arts legend by having the actor portraying him use a martial arts style that doesn't even resemble the style used by the martial arts legend he is portraying.

Wushu/Wu Xia is not Wing Chun. I doubt Ip Man (I thought it was Yip Man) ever kicked above his waist (at least not where anyone could see him) or ever wielded a sword. My friend's Wing Chun instuctor was livid when they showed Yip Man with a sword in "Dragon - The Bruce Lee Story" and actually stood up in the theater and yelled something at the screen.

To be honest, I haven't watched the BTS teaser and don't know if Donnie Yen knows Wing Chun or can fake knowing it really well. If he does, great, maybe this movie will be more true to the martial art of Wing Chun. However if there is any noticable wire-fu on Donnie's part, I'm boycotting it.

EDIT: Perhaps I'm blind but I can't find the Ip Man BTS teaser on the website link you posted. I do see a big white box though where a video could be and I can play the other trailers when I launch their player but could not find Ip Man in the "I" section. Perhaps IE6 (yes, IE6) doesn't work properly with the code on the Twitch website. I know it's somewhere on the official Ip Man site but I don't read Chinese and don't feel like clicking on things at random to see what they do. Any help would be appreciated.

So play it! It's not like it's tough to find, and SCUMMVM runs it perfectly on all manner of systems. I like to run it on my PocketPC, since touchscreen interfaces are perfect for point-and-click adventure games.

Thanks, looks nifty. I like Donnie Yen's stuff but I hope the director(s) decide not to have him do any wire-fu or high kicks in this movie. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I just saw the long trailer for the "Legend of Bruce Lee" TV series that is being made for China. While I'm sure it takes many creative liberties with Bruce Lee's life, hopefully it will be just as good as "Dragon - The Bruce Lee Story" (which also took many "creative" liberties). While much was changed, I very much enjoyed that movie.

As promised I've updated Prologue slightly so that certain parts don't annoy me as much.

Check it out:

Prologue

The whole piece topped out at about 89 tracks being mixed down to what you hear.

andy, what can I say, that is awesome. You are very talented and I can tell you right now you're at the top of my list next time I am looking for an "orchestral or variant thereof" score.

Hell, part of me wants to run out and make just such a project right now to stick that 'prologue' into. shock

Rick McCallum loves you!

I do always, but I kept my hair for TAS2. And I do shave it myself grin

Does a number 1 count as a "shave" or just a damn short cut?
