So, last I heard, The Force Unleashed isn't coming to PC.
At the same time, I keep listening to the sound effects in this game and wishing there was a way to capture them.
Has anyone done this?

Most I did was hook up the audio cables to the front box on my PC to record car sounds for Control. Couldn't isolate sound effects, though.

"The front box"?
Only things I have on my computer that might work, provided the right cable, are the mic port and the RCA ports in my TV tuner card, though I haven't figured out how to get that to accept incoming signals yet, other than cable.
Isolating them might be doable if I turn the music off and kill off all the enemies in an area first, then play around. If I could find a way to hook it up properly, I think getting good sounds out of it would be possible.

Many sounds and effects can be extracted from games. It can be done with any game but it really depends on how much time you're prepared to put into reverse engineering the game files. Often game files come with some kind of archive package that contains many files that simply require the correct form of extraction (for example, you can find many ways of extracting all the files from anything out of the Orange Box on google).

Right, and that would work for a PC game. My computer doesn't read 360 discs, short of the "To play this disc, put it in an X-Box 360" video.
