So, they made a movie about windshield wipers. Yes, I'm serious...

Something tells me you could make that exact same movie with many many other, more interesting inventions. So why a windshield wiper?

It's about the little man taking on the BIG MAN. C'mon, now! Don't tell me you don't like a story where the little man does something for the BIG MAN, and the BIG MAN tramples all over the little man, and the little man takes the BIG MAN to court, and tramples all over the BIG MAN 'cause the little man's got the truth and the BIG MAN ain't got the truth.

*wakes up*

Whoa.... where am I?

EDIT: Upon closer observation, it seems I've channeled Jesse Jackson. Weird.

I love, love, love, loved the shot of the Joker in the wildly swerving police cruiser. I don't even know why.

Well, in the trailer version of that shot, he looks like he's receiving...well...nevermind.

That's probably exactly why. Big hubbub over little thing... it's not the wiper that matters, it's the ideas of truth, of keeping what is rightfully yours. Of not letting others take your work and make it their own. How else to get across a message like that (heavy-handed on today's copyright infringement environment or not) than with an invention that is, mostly, insignificant?

In essence, Scarecrow was the equivalent of Bob the Goon the Tim Burton Batman.

Perhaps as far as the movie is structured, but Scarecrow has a bit more of a developed history than Bob the Goon.
However, Scarecrow is a part of Bats' esteemed rogues gallery, so this includes him as a villain.

Was he driving in that shot? I couldn't really tell. It always looked like he was in the back seat for the trailer.

I might make it to the IMAX on Sunday. Time will tell.

since the discusion is still on The Dark Knight... I'd say that my favorite shot in the film was as the joker is walking away from the hospital in the nurses uniform, and keeps pushing the button to get the last big boom... I really liked that little part. And also, I agree that the magic trick was by far the best character intro in the history of time.

... Yes, I hightlighted the spoilers in Lime Green. Got a problem with it?

It's like how I don't count Sandman as a villain in Spider-Man 3. I can't even really count Venom as a fully-developed character. Sadly, Venom is the Darth Maul of the Spider-Man series. He showed up, looked cool, and then died a silly death, all the while contributing nothing of substance to the overall story.

The alien suit, and its effect on Peter, however, was somewhat interesting (not as well-done as in the comics, but still interesting). I personally think Peter's own id was the villain of Spider-Man 3.

The suit was screwed up. It was a LOT cooler in the comics.

Yep. Had they spent the entire film dealing with the alien suit and Harry's revenge plot, it could have surpassed Spidey 2. But, the way that things went, all that was missing was a pair of nipples on the Spider-suit.

You're missing the point. It's not about windshield wipers.

It's about intermittent windshield wipers.
