Well, that's no good. You should take some pictures of yourself scowling and looking evil with black eye liner and post them here or in a new thread with an audio clip of you saying an evil line and laughing insanely. That would be awesome and everyone here would love to see it, I'm sure.

Perhaps you could instead of taking pictures and scowling, maybe make a short fan film introducing your talents to us. Since the film we are making is more of a drama, make sure your video doesn't have too many spoofy elements.

As far as I know, there are no Sith Lords in the story. Although with a few lighting tricks, there may be room for a scene with the Emperor.

WHAT'S HAPPENING! 4/20/08
Well, it's Sunday and still no word from Darth_Manion, so as of today this person has been officially dropped.
What I propose we do from here:
MJ already has an idea for part two that we're discussing. So we'll be responsible for Parts One and Two, and that will leave Ish and RX responsible for Parts Three and Four. I may be wrong, but I think those will be a cooperative venture at least a bit because of the shared Imperial character.
Hopefully MJ and I can churn out this next part as fast as we did the first one, and then we'll be on our way again with this.

Ideas we're discussing: Seems like the droid, needing a way off-planet, would probably go directly to the Theed Spaceport. (Filmies, if this is too hard to CGI, speak up now!) There, this smuggler is down on his luck. His ship has broken down and he can't afford repairs, and it's being impounded because it's in the way of spaceport operations. The droid sees it being towed away and this guy having a ...fit on the sidelines, therefore it is obvious whom to approach.
So that's where we're at with the story...perhaps this guy was planning to meet up with just such a droid, thus facilitating the meet.

So, basically, you need to get the droid off the planet while introducing the smuggler?
What if the droid asks the smuggler to take him offworld but the smuggler refuses for two reasons:
1. His ship is impounded.
2. He doesn't like droids.
The smuggler has spent all of his credits at the local cantina and when he goes back to his ship, he finds Imperial stormtroopers impounding it. He complains and it's revealed that his landing permit was a forgery. The Storm troopers threaten to arrest him if he doesn't back off. He can get his ship back but he doesn't have the credits to pay the fine and the impound fee, so he's stuck on Naboo. He eventually agrees to help the droid and the droid follows him to the market on the streets of Theed, where the smuggler, instead of helping the droid, tries to sell him to get the credits.. The droid protests of course, stating he isn't owned by the smuggler, who is forced to abandon his scheme as a pair of Imperial troops come to investigate the situation.
While the smuggler is arguing with the stormtroopers, the droid wanders off towards a computer terminal where he proceeds to hack into the Imperial network and change the records so that the ship is no longer impounded. Upon discovering this, the smuggler agrees to help (though he still doesn't like droids), although the real reason he agrees is because he believes that he might be able to use the droids hacking skills to earn some credits and pay off some debts (he doesn't say that of course). It's implied that the droid used to use his hacking skills to help his owner, which may explained how the family ended up on Naboo in the first place, as punishment for altering credit lines and records to their advantage.

Well, that reason for the family to end up on Naboo doesn't quite square with what's already written, but I do like the rest of it.
MJ and I were going to do this part, but we hadn't started yet.
Would you like to do this part of the script? We're talking about 10 pages or so. We were hoping it could get done in 1-2 weeks, tops.
If you don't want to do this part, I'll ask her to come over here and read this, and maybe we can incorporate some of it.
OH, P.S., if you want to work on it, most of the writing discussion is taking place
here.

Liking the rules, and I'm still here, reading the updates. As a VFX supervisor, I don't really see the point of an update status every week or so.
However, I might be able to help out with production as well, as my acting skills are way above average. I don't really have any reel to prove this, however, if someone here could provide me with a dramatic(non-sci-fi) monologue, I'll gladly interpret it, shoot it, and share it with you guys(Can't really write stuff like that).
In any way, I could provide voice-overs, and/or do some acting on, for example a hologram, should there be one involved.
Let me know if you need me, PM me with a monologue, and I'll do my best.
