WHAT'S HAPPENING! 5/2/08
- As previously announced, JEDSITH IS DONE WITH PART TWO!!! YAY!!! Be looking out
here for the first draft to go up.
- As a reminder: I've been trying to mark important news you need to know with these colored boxes on both threads that usually say: WHAT'S HAPPENING! If you ever need to know something quick, scroll through and look for these posts and you'll probably find what you're looking for.
- Other important places to find what you're looking for: The first and eighth posts in the Community Fanfilm Clearinghouse thread in Fan Fiction Resource contain the basic storyline, length we're shooting for, and who is currently assigned to what part.
- And once again, a great big thank-you to JEDSITHOR for stepping in and doing such a capable job on such short notice! He's really gotten this project back on track with a bang.

UPDATE
Assembling a team slowly, and have reached 10(including me) for post production vfx, and have, as mentioned earlier a concept artist hard at work. He's given a deadline today, so after work, I'm heading there to check out the stuff, and we'll upload the sketches for everyone to see. I've seen one of the concepts and so far, I like it a lot.
I'll keep you posted.

I have assembled a professional production crew. I have all of the necessary equip.
I also have an arsenal of sound effects to be used. Once I have my demo reel together, I will let you see... more like Hear... it. GotsaLotsa Star Wars sounds in it.

alright, current VFX department count is 11. And growing steadily. By the time this project actually reaches post-production, with this growing rate, I imagine it'll be more like 200 :P
Jokes aside though, the VFX department will do its job. I'll make sure of it. I'm not just picking random people off the web, I'm making sure they can pull off the effects necessary, and will pull them off in a believable way too. I'm not just doing this for fun, I'm doing it to let people know that I'm not only a VFX artist, I can bring together teams, and make it kick-ass too :P

Excellent. Now, from looking at the script that we have thus far, what excites you? What needs more detail, and what doesn't? What can we - as the rest of the team - do to help you get the job done?

Writer's update:
I have posted a treatment of both the character of Captain Jonhin Bel Maden and some thoughts on the matter of the blackmail over in the Fan Fiction Resource thread. Feel free to throw tomatoes at it, but if that gets approved, the writing will go much more quickly now that I've sat down and reasoned it out based on some recent conversations.

Progress: I'm working on tweaking Bel Maden's opening scene because he's hard to pin down, but the droid now speaks in contractions on occasion, Bestine is a world not a city and I've got four more pages drafted.
