I don't know the first thing about shooting a movie.
I'm trying to get a filmable first draft done. Thatsa it. What I was asking is, boss for the overall project, because I'm trying to cobble something together that that person can actually film.
Or we could just leave it up in Saga as an art piece...

This concludes the portion of the script we have done. In short everyone...
WE'RE ALL FRICKIN' DONE EXCEPT FOR THE ENDING!!!!! 
Several of the writing staff have been chewing over the ending for a few days now. BUT, before we can write an ending, we need to hear from the filmies pronto. And here's what we need to know:
1.) Is this story filmable? Or, in other words, do you guys need a rewrite to make things cheaper and easier to film, or to eliminate all running characters but the BOT?
2.) If you need a rewrite, you need to think about who you want to do it. Do you want to handle it yourselves? Or do you want the writing staff to do it?
Once we get this taken care of, I'll post all the possible endings that have been suggested so far, and we'll discuss them and take a vote.
If you wish to submit a possible ending, hurry to the Resource board and post it up on the planning thread.

you're not the only one. I've put my team on a hold aswell, as this thing just seems to go further than the original idea, but no further than a screenplay. One of the reasons i hate un-paid fanfilms. They never get done unless the crew is 110% dedicated.

I too was a little nervous. I tried to pass it off as "well, they must be busy reading the script"

I'm not sure who was interested in actually filming it but for one or two familiar names on here. Presumably these folks would be looking for people local to them to help them, but I only remember backdesk, DVC, and Vidina as actually posting to say: I want to help film part of it.
The only way the script got done was for one person to take responsibility for organizing it. That means basically saying: "Look, here's what we need. First we have to do this, then we need this, then we have to do that. I want X people to do this job right now, any volunteers?" And then once you get that far, you have to go: "OK, now I need X people to do this job." And so on and so forth until you get to the end. If disagreements or squabbles break out, you basically go back to step one and repeat.
If someone isn't up front and visible doing this to get ppl in and organized, it's hard to envision this getting filmed. I certainly am not able to do it, because I don't know crap about filmmaking and my life is busy enough as it is. My point is, if you're too passive, nothing gets done.
If nothing does get done on this end, say, within the next couple of weeks, what I will probably do is just go back over to the writing board and the writing staff will just write an ending. After that, I guess if no one wants to make it, it will just stay posted up on the Saga board. Someone can always pick it up and do it later if they want.
But I was really trying to get feedback before we set in stone something that would have to be torn all apart and majorly rewritten. A stitch in time saves nine.

Very true, I really hope this get's made, it's made it further than any other project I've seen like this.
It's a fantastic story idea, you all have done some great work.
I'll be all for helping with any sort of fx work I can, if (and hopefully when) it gets there.
