So what language is that you're typing? Is it even a language, or just gibberish?

Hai! Soo desu nee!
Okay, so I took all of two quarters in college, but I really love it and want to finish learning enough so I can chat casually in it.
If someone made a Star Wars fan film in Japanese, I'd probably dig it.
As for French, well...I grew up within spitting distance of the Quebec border and kinna developed an extreme distaste for the stuff due to prolonged exposure. I realize the québécois and the French kinna have attitude about each other, but still... Much like Hebrew, it all sounds like gagging and horking to me; no offense. And I still have to read subtitles, which takes away from the experience.

I'm in the same boat. Although, in my case I took French as a teenager and developed a distaste for Spanish. Subtitles would be appreciated though because my French is about as good as it's going to get, which isn't all that good.

To RocketGirl - I'm sorry, but there are other country on Earth (unbelievable !), each one with their languages, sensibility, intelligence, arts and more. Americans are not alone in this planet. So, don't be disdainful. Thanks.

*sigh*
Fact remains there is a French guy conversing on an English board. And while a lot of French people refuse to talk English to you when you are in France you can't hold it over the guy's head. (I am guessing it is the same if you go to Quebec) Hell, on another board there is even a Robocop vs Predator fanfilm in the works... they are French, and keep good contact with us.
I don't mind a French movie with English subtitles. Must be because I am Dutch then... We like other languages... Just like I'd rather watch anime with subs aswell. It's more fun that way. And you pick stuff up!

Many french people don't speak english, it's true, but when you come in an another country, you try to speak the local language, no ? When i went to Republica Dominicana, i spoke spanish (with the little help from my girlfriend ). Do you see what i mean ?
Now, subject is "Assault of Bespin" not diplomatic relations. So constructive critics are welcome as well as compliments. ..

I know this is a side topic, but I agree Dayn65. You should at least try to speak the native language. While I was in Paris a few years ago, I at least tried and I was respected for it. I very much enjoyed my trip there and would love to go back.
I have no complaints so far about the movie, but of course I've not seen too much of it. I'm definitely intrigued.

Oh, I'm only disdainful of the ones I don't like...or the aspects of some I don't like.
For the most part, I actually quite like France...as a concept. The sound of the language tho, is kinna like country music to me: I'm not going to try to destroy it because other people seem to like it, but MAN do I ever not want to listen to it!
But it's not the French people I don't care for...just the sound of the language.
Anyway, about the trailer...okay, about the teaser...well, the thing is, I really want to see some character animation. As it is, all I see are what look like moving cut-outs. And while they're well-drawn, they're still pretty static.
I'd really like to see people. People moving, doing more than just being still. Cuz otherwise it just seems less like a film and more like one of those moving storybooks they used to make us watch on PBS in elementary school.
Just sayin'...

Now that's a sample of the French pride people hate. If you go to the Netherlands you won't be speaking dutch, if you go to Germany you won't be speaking german. You'll try to converse in the universal language, which is English. And if people refuse to speak it, while you are damn sure they can understand every word you're saying... I've never had that happen in Germany or any other country for that matter. But France... More than once. Always the older folk though, never the young ones. It's like the old folk are delusional in thinking French is the #1 universal language in the world.
But yes, off with the French - English debate. I think you are doing a great job using software that is NOT intended for that use. You could cut your production time in half if you could work with After Effects. Keyframes would work wonders in this!

Well, Keithabbott thinks like me... When i was young English students comes in college and we spoke in both languages. Finally, tried. Each made effort. There will always be preconceived ideas on each side from Atlantic. Here, we are united for a common passion. Really let us try to be above this.
To come back to subject there, I try at my small level to make a quality short with not enough means. Not of 3D, no impressive special effects but the desire to go back to the sources of saga with a concise tale, rich in action, and accomplished in old fashion way.
It is sure, result will have got nothing to do with the last techniques but it is not the important. Main idea is: make a good stuff... if possible.
