The filming is going down tomorrow, exciting. Choreography is done, we just have to film it. Dialog is... being worked on. But it's all good. I'll update you guys when we're done. Plus, production stills. Stay tuned.

We're roughly 60% done filming. And hopefully tomorrow we'll be done or at least that is what is planned. So far though Mother Nature hasn't been so kind to us filming so that's why it's take just a wee bit longer than expected. But tomorrow (and this I promise you) we'll be done filming and then it's onto editing (hurray..)! Well anyways, here is some production stills. Hope you like them and stay tuned.

Alright, well yesterday we finished filming and well.. epic. It's amazing. I thought we'd never finish but alas, we did. I believe we'll have some more production stills up soon. But yes, amazing. We now go into post-production and it'll be awhile (roughly a few months or so) but I'll make sure to keep you guys updated. And for all those who have been following us, thank you. Your support has been noticed and appreciated. Again, thank you and stay tuned.

I thought we'd never finish but alas, we did.

"Alas"? I do not think it means what you think it means.

It's a GOOD thing you're finished. So many of these films never get past a script - if that far - so completing filming is an achievement on it's own. Nice one. happy

Bah, you're more than likely right. I tend to update these things late at night (or early morning) so yeah, I probably used it in the wrong context. But back on-topic, thank you guys for your support. It truly makes me smile to see that people do 'give-a-crap'. So in saying, here some more lovely production stills!

Are the sabers supposed to look shorter than normal or is it the angles?

Heh, I thought the same thing but it's just the angles.

Well geez, I sure haven't posted in awhile. Did you forget about me? Of course not, 'cause Giant Gnome Digital will never go away! tongue

Anyways, we've been in post-production. We're almost done! It's quite exciting. So be happy. One thing though that people have been bugging me about lately which reminded me of this thread, I'm not creating a trailer for Best Left Forgotten or for any of my movies under the Giant Gnome Digital name. For one reason and one reason only, I believe trailers take away from the surprise of the film or in other words, they ruin the film. So no trailers. Hope you all look forward to what is to come!

Till next time,
Dave Hise

With post-prod going well, any update on an expected release date? I'm looking forward to seeing what you've got here.

Hmm, release? To say the least, before the end of 2008. Lame estimation, I know. But when it comes closer to being done, I'll have a better estimate.

I've seen lamer answers than that happy If it's done before the end of this year, I would say that's very good. That's only about three and a half months.

lol, there is also another fan film coming out around your time frame called star wars forgotten. Lot's of visual effects in it, and some awesome people working on it. I as well look forward to seeing this!!

EDIT: BTW, just imho, interactive lighting would be useful in those above saber shots for a better blend, as well, slightly lower contrast. wink
