You know, it really isn't that hard to use a form letter that at least gives applicants a clue.

Hundreds.
But there are no examples among Atomfilms finalists, because too much soundtrack usage == disqualification. If there's original SW music in an entry, rest assured they'll get out the stopwatch and make sure it lasts for 59 seconds or less, because them's the rules.
On occasion, if they really like an entry but there's something in it that they can't accept, they will contact the filmmaker and offer them a chance to make changes and resubmit. It's a good idea to submit well before the deadline if possible, just in case you fall into that category.

Totally agree... although my entry will be right to the second of the deadline! LOL! I think it may get entered by the skin of its teeth!

Sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. Too bad they won't tell you why it was rejected.
Your rejection e-mail was a little more informative than mine. I didn't have the "most common issues" bit in my rejection letter.

sorry to hear that man, I checked out the film on you tube and thought it looked amazing. Great job!
On a lesser scale I made a short last year called Cinemagic that didn't get accepted so I feel your pain. They never tell you why it is not accepted and that is frustrating! I would love it if they just ripped into mine like Simon Cowel and told me why Cinemagic wasn't picked. At least it's nice to have a site like youtube where I can show it to a few people.

I just saw the trailer.... man my Jaw just hit the floor! Its amazing! Can't wait to sit down and watch the full length film!
As to why it was rejected... did you use any of the Star Wars score in the final film? Because apart from that... i can't see a reason why it was dropped! Ok, you have cut it up into chunks, to keep it within certain time constraints, but isn't Chad Vader 8 episodes long?
