LOL! Cheers! There is a sort of american accent in there too... theforce.net's very own bgii_2000 did the voice of Chad Vader for us. :-)

great job on overtime. Have no idea why it didn't make the cut. Only thing I can see is RvD2 is already in the contest...saw that early in the thread, So maybe Atomfilms felt they already had a saber fight in the contest??? Should try and enter it again next year.

Maybe they weren't down with the time lenght but other films have gone over 5 minutes and made the contest so I have no idea???

I've seen worse in the contest. My "Pinball Wars" was worse then that and made the contest.

All I can say is I feel you. I've been on both sides of the coin when it comes to Atomfilms. I would have been very proud to have made that film and I would have voted for it to be in the contest.

RVD2 is in the challenge!?.... he, he... oooh man!... This wont be a contest skull ....

Anyways, Guybrush has a point.... Maybe they are too similar too compete against each other...
Still, that just gives you more time for fine tunning and blind Mr Lucas with awesomeness (!?, Damn you, Jack Black!!)....

Cheers guys.... yeah i heard RvD2 was through... and that is awesome! So will probably sweep! LOL! Maybe its a good job i didn't get through then! ;-)

Looking forward to seeing what made the grade too... should be a fun competition!

I still haven't received a rejection letter from atomfilms. I wrote to them yesterday to inquire and they sent this response:

Hello, Thank you for contacting Atom Entertainment, Inc. Uploaded films do not appear on the AtomFilms website unless they are accepted by the AtomFilms submission team. We will contact you if your movie is selected by our judges for potential inclusion in the Fan MovieChallenge. On-Site voting for the Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge begins on June 26th. Regards, The AtomFilms Team

I really think we need a tread for SD Comic-Con...

Anyways... If selected, Atomfilms provides with pass for the comic-con!? (4 day memebership and saturday SOLD OUT!...That's why I was wondering...)

It sure would be nice if they provided passes. The awards ceremony is on the 24th which is Thursday, and Thursday passes are still available.

I'm pretty doubtful at this point, but still have some small hope that my film, "The Closet Unleashed" will make it.
It's possible that they contacted me while I was on vacation the first week of June, and that it went to my junk folder, which gets emptied automatically every 5 days.

I observed that those who submitted at least a week before the deadline were notified within a week afterwards. I submitted mine literally hours before the deadline, so maybe it hasn't even been viewed yet.

Anyone else waiting for a Yes/No response still?

I'm still waiting. I'm about to wear out my computer checking e-mail every 5 minutes. I submitted my entry at least a week before the deadline and I have not heard back anything official yet. YOu are not alone!

In the same boat. I sent a message to AtomFilms, asking about a status update, but haven't heard back even from that, not even a "Still in the review process" email!

Online voting for the Fan Film Challenge has been pushed back to July 1st. Voting is still scheduled to end on the 10th of July. Very sneaky, Atomfilms! Onsite voting was originally scheduled to begin on the 26th of June, but apparently, they need more time! My best guess is that they are still busy sifting through all of the entries. I may still have a chance!
