Force Lightning in VisionLab Studio - need help!

Yes, I looked up PixelMagic's lightning tutorial. And it's great, and very realistic. The only problem I'm having is that I don't have After Effects. I have an older version of VisionLab Studio that does not have the lightning plugin. And so I humbly ask:
Can someone tell me how do do Lightning in VisionLab (assuming anyone uses it)?
If no one uses VisionLab, then I have another solution (and probably a better one). Could someone possibly make lightning over
a black background in AE? Actually, since AE is a better program, this would probably look better. If someone would be nice enough to make a video file in this fashion, about a 5 second file would do, loopable if possible, with both ends in sight. (run-on sentence) If anyone actuall does this, let me know, and I'll PM my email to you. Quicktime .MOV would be best, but compressed .AVI
will also work.
Thanks, and sorry to be such an annoying prat,

What I done...
- My version of VisionLab has eletrical arc PNG files in the 'textures' folder.
- I joined them together in Combustion to make one long stream of lightning. I used Combustion to animate the stream moving from left to right, but you could probably join them together in Photoshop, and do the animating in VisionLab.
- The animated lightning is exported into a TGA image stream.
- Import the image stream into VisionLab.
- Muck around with the grading (colour balance, blur, saturation etc.) to taste, and mask the bits you want to show/ not show.
I originally thought it would be pretty straight forward, but to get it right it needs a lot of work. Often had to layer the same lightning stream on top of each other and muck around more with masks and saturation to make the lightning brighter in parts. Also mucked around with the speed for different lightning bolts so it doesn't look too uniform.
I'd really recommend freeze framing the Force lightning in AOTC and ROTJ for reference.

^ I think there's like one outdated element to it but otherwise it's good enough, says me. I used your tutorial for "Brooklyn Force" and you're totally getting a special thanks because I would have been completely screwed without it.

I want to learn to do it like Nate. Pixel's results are good, but I gotta say, his are better.
