Yup... finally finished it. I've submitted a version of this to the Atom Films competition. That one has had all brand names taken out, and the score is purely by the composer Martin Westlake. This version contains some of Martin's score, but is mostly packed full of William's Star Wars scores.
Overtime
Love to know what you all think. Its been a labour of love for me for a good while now. So be gentle! :-)
Make sure you watch past the end credits for an extra surprise! :-)

Ignore the bit about the extra surprise for the minute! It didn't get rendered! I shall rectify the situation soon! :-)

Well, the fight choreography leaves something to be desired, but it is kinda silly. Especially right after the Jawa runs off, that's when it started getting interesting. You could prolly chop out a small chunk of the initial move through the cubicles upstairs. You don't have to show them traveling the whole distance, if you play the edit out right.
I didn't see anything past the credits, by the way. It just ends.
Unless you mean "Special Thanks to Everyone at TheForce.net", which was nice of you.

Here's my last version of the film. Had a brief fiddle... ahem... with some extra Sound Effects, an extra gag, and i've played around with the sound balance a little.
Overtime in HD
Someone asked me how much it cost to make this film... i think the total budget ended up about £40.. (roughly $70).

Leaving Atom Films Competition aside. I've entered Overtime into a further 4 festivals this year so far, with another 5 lined up. Click here for further info on these competitions/festivals if you are interested?

The first couple lines of dialogue took me a few watches to understand...But that could be because I'm a bloody yank!
Overall, Quite entertaining. I get the feel of "The Office" I like the little montage in the beginning with the curly haired guy. The fight did kind of drag, I think perhaps the cuts could have been faster, but the gags paid off.

Wow... what a weird couple of days!
'Overtime' has just really hit the headlines! It all started with a small piece in the local rag, and now the news about it is global! Its quite scary! I've been on one radio show already this week, and i've got calls for more!
Just check out these links!
Daily Telegraph
The Sun
The Basingstoke Gazette
Cnet News
Those are just some of the articles!
As i've said, the film is being shown at the POL-8 in Poland, and its also in the S2F2 Film Festival in Liverpool, England.
Sadly, the fact that me and my colleague all work for a bank seems to have overshadowed the film and the fact that we made it to raise money for Charity! Shame really... it feels like they are robbing money from the charity by leaving them out the articles!

not bad. Like someone else said, couldn't understand a bit of the dialogue because of the british accents, lol.
One random thing that bothered me was in the beginning when the one character was trying to entertain himself with all the jump cuts. I would have him in various parts of the frame in between these cuts and have each shot a bit more unique. Him sitting in the same spot in a chair and (besides juggling) not doing much different at all just looks a bit awkward and doesn't make the effect seem as nice.
Overall though nice job.

Cheers for that... yeah i see your point. And in retrospect, i reckon moving him about would have been a better option. Also, you'll notice the clock in the background and i should have had it move with each cut...
Maybe a directors cut will come out!? LOL...
