In truth, I wanted to take copies down to comic con, but I had that hard drive crash recently,.
So even though its been re-edited I still have to correct of few issues I;m having with the
working files and the new drive.
I guess the reality is I should release the DVD, I know as well as you keithabbott , there;s nothing like that sitting down in front of the TV and hitting that surround sound button. So COE will have a friend really soon
But youtube is the only place I released the full version thus far, After the re-edit I am deleting three full scenes from the film for time purposes.
And there was an actual scene I deleted even before the youtube release, It was Even Piel talking to his padawan Nam ji Ken after he awoke from the rock impact. Maybe I;ll put that on the DVD just too. 2 more days to San Diego !!!

Hmmmm....so, is there a hope of a director's cut, and an extended version?

think I should?
Well I guess it wouldn't hurt to put both versions on the DVD, they do it all the time on the bigger budget films.
sure ! you got it.
I;ll author the DVD when I get back from S D and get it up online the week after con if everything goes well with the new drive. 2 days and counting !!

Lou, if you mean me I won't be at ComicCon. I'll be at home attending to my 4 month old son.

StoyBoy720 posted: I could see you making this a wiki. Have a page with a link for each film still, but with detailed information.
I'd actually be willing to help out making that. We could add sypnosises, screenshots, cast and crew available aswell.

Vidina ! that would be an awesome add to have all that information along with the film, great suggestion!
Sometimes its just a poster and the film with as little to no bio on the films hosted at all, plus cast and crew?
But this is such a nice page and has allot to offer every fan.
But what about hosting costs' though? is it really expensive to have this up on an annual basis and if so maybe we should help out so this doesn;t go away for financial reasons. donations maybe? I'm willing...

Ahem, starwars already has a wiki, which was created at wikia.com, which lets you create free wiki. We won't need to bother ourselves with thinking cost and whatnot. But hey, you could help me out and donate to www.aurellia.net //plug
edit: http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/Starwarsfanfilms
Just created it, so be sure to help me out, and keep it all high-quality. Let's get the show on the road, as they say.

page looked interesting Vidina, but I was reffering to http://kuatengineer.webs.com/index.htm
and the way he presented the page lay out with a poster of the film.
but if at all possible include a picture of cast and crew maybe?
I wonder if the Force.net started this way too.

RE: Fan Film Library Resource

Vidina and Lou,
There two things at work here. First, the response to my site has been terrific (somebody got on there yesterday and downloaded almost 100 films in one session, for example), but the biggest shortfall is that there's not much content about any given film. Second, Lou made a mention on potential cost, etc.
On the first point, the wiki is a great suggestion, and I see that as being something that could really work well as a partnership with my site. As film-makers get pages in the wiki, I can add a link on may site so that people can peek over there about the films if they're looking to decide on whether or not to download it, looking for more info on the film-maker, etc. The current 'home' button link goes a long way, but it's all over the place as far as the kind of info you get from any home page when you get there. But, it is probably beyond my ability to do much justice to content to all of the films, and I don't want to do a hack job with that.
On the second point, for full disclosure, I've done all of this for free so far. I use freewebs, and Spiff and Phi have enormous bandwidth and storage capacities, so they've been able to host without incurring costs on their end. If it ever became necessary to upgrade the service through freewebs, the cost would be minimal. My structure just doesn't burn storage and bandwidth from my site. I have had conversations with Phi about the possibility that it could run into extra cost at their end, and we're a long way from that. Still, if that ever came into play, I don't think that would be cost prohibitive. Largely, this is by design on my end. Digging for films, you quickly realize how many dead sites and dead links there are. At some point, that probably just boiled down to someone not continuing to pay for the service. I never wanted to see that happen. So, if I were to lose interest 4 years from now or got hit by a bus, the site could pretty much keep going with little chance of falling apart.
On the wiki, it may be worth starting a thread for it. Traffic on this thread has certainly picked up, but having it's own thread could really get it going, IMO. And before I forget, thanks Vidina for setting the wiki up.

ahh ! now I got it.
please forgive my lack of web experience regarding the wiki. To much time sculpting I think.
Thats great to hear that the film sight will be able to last. I remember when I first started searching the web for potential sights to host my film back in 03 , many of the Darth maul sights I found had gone into web limbo. like there last post was made after the TPM opened and then never to post again.
But this is something I hope stays around forever. along with the force.net, it could really be a valuble tool for fan film makers to finally see what's out there and how not to repeat or over use sound tracks, ect ect.
and to me, its a great way to see international film makers and what their doing. Many of those international films I have not even seen here at the forum,
Anyways, thanks for the clear up and Thanks Vidina, I;ll go there soon and write up some
stuff for COE.
