 Well, you said you wanted some feedback on your tutorial, and it may be late, but here you go.
I have never made anything with blender before, so I must say your tutorial was effective. However, I have three questions. 1. Why did my red lightsaber not line up? I did try to make both the pictures the same size, but then that point was a little confusing to me. 2. How do I set the size of the picture for the flash? Obviously it went outside the letterbox. And 3. I did not understand how to change the color or the glow, could you give me some more details on that?
Thanks for making this tutorial, I made my last film with AE, but used the trial because I couldn't afford the product itself. Thanks again.

You need to set the render settings to make the output the same size as the pictures. To change the glow color, go to "Models" like it says in the tutorial and use the RGB curves. I'll be making a video tutorial sometime to hopefully clear somethings up in that as this is my first tutorial. I'll also be showing how to rotoscope video
