I ended up having a great time with this films. This felt like an Indy movie all the way through. You had the fights, Germans, Indy running to a plane, the college, use of shadows, references to the past movies, etc. The actors were pretty decent and all-around I had great time. I liked that the music used the past themes and it really kept the mood in the film. The way you bridged Batman and Indiana was a very good plot device and I loved the end where Bob Kane used his experience to create Batman. Keep up the good work.

See, that's the thing that bothered me, the whole relic of gotham conceit... I mean, Batman was created in, like, the 40s; Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Crystal Skull took place in the 50s... they're both pulp fiction heroes; it wouldn't be a difficult stretch for them to be living in the same universe, so... this seemed like way more of a stretch, and it just didn't appeal to me.

Fair enough, though we were intentionally going for the moment Bob Kane conceived the Batman character. And since Batman first appeared in 1939 when Indiana Jones was at his prime we thought it worked well as a plot device. Also, we started this movie LONG before Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released.

In other news: The movie can now be viewed from myspace for any and all who may be interested. www.myspace.com/relicofgotham

Thanks guys!

I agree with Jedi Monk. I was in fact expecting some kind of "team-up" film. To me, Batman & Indy vs Joker would have been better than Batman vs Indy vs Joker. The film was well done, don't get me wrong, but it just wasn't what I expected.

BTW, where did you shoot the closeups of the ruins?

No argument there. That's the reverse side of having expectations, I suppose. On the one hand, you're looking forward to seeing the movie, which is awesome! On the other hand, if it's not what you expected then you can't help but feel a degree of disappointment. But believe me, if we had the time we would've spent a lot longer in Gotham, fleshing out that plot line.

The location for the shots within the ruins is in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. They are the remains of what I believe used to be a fort that burned down a long, long time ago.

Thanks for watching!
