Ok so this is part two of a thread that is already going on. My partner Adam has already come on here and posted a thread looking for FX artist. He was doing a good job at being discreet and not saying too much, as ideas are stolen everyday, especially in the fan film world. But do to the fact that our company NEEDS FX guys for not only this project, but for our future projects as well I feel the need to spill the beans a little bet, so you can have somewhat better idea of what you will be getting back for your time working with Pinto Pictures.
My name is Brandon A. Pinto, in the acting world it’s Brandon Hillock. We are currently working on the first huge Pirates of the Caribbean Fan Film. Because lets face it, Pirates is now right up there with Star Wars and Indy as far as epic trilogies go. However there are hundreds of Star Wars fan films and yet none of Pirates…yet.
I used to post on here all the time and I knew from past experience that this is the number one place to look for great FX artist.
As my colleague said we will need a few ship CG models. The Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchmen to be exact, we need the camera flying by the ships in a few different directions, with cannons firing. We also need a few tentacles on Davy Jones to move and to insert Jack Sparrow in front of the kraken like in the end of Pirates 2. This may work with just inserting our Jack with dialog into the scene it self.

Click HERE. In the story Jack Sparrow basically uses an iphone. We would greatly appreciate it if you don’t send this clip to many people. We would like to premiere it completed before we let the world see it. So though we cannot control were this is shown, we would appreciate your filmmaker loyalty on keeping this on the down low.
As posted this will now be a paying job. Also after this film we will be doing 2 more types of Fan Films. The next one will be Jedi Apprentice the fight between Asajj Ventress and Anakin Skywalker.
The third is kind of top secret for now, but if you join Pinto Pictures you will find out soon enough  It is a sequel we just got green lighted to do for a very huge fan film that came out a few years ago. Then we will be doing a full length feature film call the Adversary. If you’re religious, it’s the war in heaven that is caused by the fall of Lucifer. If you’re not religious it will be an awesome sci-fi/300 film. It’s a very Anakin Skywalker story, and we have a million dollar budget, but in the next year we are hoping to get more. So obviously that will be paying…. A lot.

sorry, i wish i had 3D experience but that's very lacking at the moment.

Ahh well looking into it mate! we start that one in a year, get good and fast! lol
Also I would like to remind anyone that dose not have FX work capabilities is more then welcome to let me know if there is any other type of film talent that you can do. We are looking to build the company bigger and higher. Also if you just want to stay tuned to what we are making and when our films come out, you can go to the myspace page, or PintoPictures.net for info.

Oh, you're the Jack Sparrow guy. I knew I'd heard your name before, saw an article about you on Digg a couple weeks ago.
You're not worried about getting shut down by Disney? How much of a parody is this going to be?

Sure we are looking at 2-3 fly by shots of the 2 ships, Dutchmen in pursuit, and firing cannons. The Kraken will be kind of a shot for shot match to the ending confutation of Jack and the Kraken, It will be about 3 shots there. Dead line is with in 2 months.
We are shooting on a Panasonic HD p2 Res is 1440X1080 and 16X9 wide screen, and a ratio of 1.33.

No I am not worried at all about being shut down. My acting agent put in touch with a really good entertainment layer so I know all the ups and downs and what to do and what not to do. If this is something you would like to take on, can you send me some of your work via email? I live close to Hollywood as well so we may be able to do a meeting as well soon.
Also I will be on National Public Radio program called Weekend Edition Saturday with Scott Simon taling about being Jack and this film. This Saturday
In LA it’s KCRW at 89.9
In San Diego it’s KPBS at 89.5
So this film will be pretty well known soon

If you're going to need additional rotoscopers (not sabers - I mean objects and people) and compositors, then I'd love to help out on this project. My demoreel can be seen here:

This is something I might be interested in trying out, seems like it would be a real challenge. Of course, it would all depend on what level of work needed to be done, is there already makeup and just a few tentacles need adding, or would the whole face be CG like ILM's work on the movie, etc, what's the video quality like, how steady are the shots, blah blah blah. If you're interested, you could PM me some footage with Davy Jones, I'd love to get some more details on this.

The amount of responses you all have left are great. I'm sorry I was so vague in my earlier post, I just wasn't sure about how much I could reveal. We will be using Hans Zimmer's score to "Pirates." I'm not much of a 3d guy but I'd be interested in helping with the anakin fight, that should be pretty epic.
So wait your that guy that worked for disney who was on digg?
