I like the grading. Can you give us a few tips on how you did it, or am I missing something in the stickies?

Chameleon was bang about the gradient gel, I did get that handy little preset from videocopilot.net
There are a couple of other things going on under the hood in this case. For the exterior stuff, in after effects, I crushed the blacks a bit using the levels controls. I also applied an S-Curve to the curves controls. The yellow tint of the footage was just the photofilter tool in AE. Pretty simple stuff. A lot of the tools I used are covered in Pixel's film look tutorial which can be found in the stikies I believe.

Still watching, but I like this. It's playing kinda bad on my computer, but am still sitting through it, I love that long wide shot with the actor center screen and the city in the back round, though, it woulda been cool for you to composite in a Battle damaged or halfway destroyed city. This is cool Z.

Sorry to here about the computer difficulties man. You can also download the original 720p file off of vimeo but it is a bit of a big one, around 420mb I think. I'm pumped that you are digging it enough to deal with the streaming problems.
Battle damage was actually considered though I decided that I didn't want to write myself into a corner. By that I mean I plan on making a short episodic arc, which will probably mean two more episodes in the same style as this one picking up where Twinkies left off. Anywho, what I mean by writing myself into a corner is as follows. I know that I can pull off a ruined skyline on my own, similar to the one I did for Squirrel Factor III. However in the next episode, tentatively titled "The Touched," I'm going to be getting a lot closer to that skyline and I simply don't think I could pull it off convincingly, at least on the scale I'd want to. There are some on the board that could probably pull it off, I'm just not going to put all of my eggs in that basket. Either way, the lack of damage that is usually expected from alien invasion films does have an explanation in my story.
So yeah, I guess that's my way of announcing the continuation of Twinkies. I also plan on doing a behind the scenes doc on it and a semi-formal blog covering the aspects of this particular production. Which is something I really wanted to do with SFIII but just didn't have the time. I hope it'll be interesting and I hope you guys will like it as much as you seem to like Twinkies.

And are you going to include that on the DVD as well?

I'll say make another DVD just for the Twinkies :P But since the first short is already done, you can include that

I've had some of the same difficulties with Vimeo that a lot of people are having, but I still think this looks incredible. You've got a great eye, and the grading just cements it.

Hmmm, I don't know what's up with Vimeo, seems to be working well for me on my computers. Turning HD off would probably help.
Thanks for the compliments Impy!

I can't believe I missed this. The list of celebrities that Kyle has been compared to is long and impressive. Most often it is Nathon Fillion, but Ewan Mcgregor and Sean Bean also pop up every once in a while.
