For those who don't know, they are making a movie of the greatest graphic novel ever, "Watchmen".
Not one but TWO of the final forty videos employed members from the TFN Fan Films Forum community, and the best part is, you can vote for BOTH, once per day.
They are both ads for 'Nostalgia' perfume, a fictional product from the graphic novel and movie. The winning ads not only get money and prizes, but the chance to be seen _in the movie_. Like, you can go to your local theater and see something a TFN kid made right there on the screen.
One ad is by your beloved mod, and stars Carolyn Siegel ("Brooklyn Force").
The other ad is by EricBranco, and features music by Teague.
(1) Visit http://www.youtube.com/watchmenmovie
(2) Click the "Vote" tab in the purple box on the right
(3) In the "Search for a video:" field at the bottom of the purple box, search for "Bertocci" to vote for Adam's and "OneNineFilms" to vote for Eric's — you can vote for both, so be sure to run through this rigmarole twice!
(4) A white bar will pop up below the search area. It will contain a sort of grainy grayish image inside that represents our video.
(5) Click it, watch the truly amazing commercial.
(6) Click the "thumbs up", and then "Next Video" to register your response, and you're done!
You can vote _once per video per person per day_. That means you can vote for these videos EVERY DAY!

It's true. Do like Adam says.
As an aside, I find it strange that they took the longer version of the commercial. I (like everyone I've mentioned it to) think that the 30 second version is way stronger. Oh well.

I do _NOT_ know if this is because I am a winner (no word from the top yet) or if it's just because I was a finalist.
No matter what it means, though, I thought it was too cool not to share, and in case they rotate through all the videos as the day goes on I thought some of you might want to see it 'live'. Otherwise I wouldn't even jump the gun.
Right now, at 1:19 AM New York time, when you visit www.youtube.com, you see the following:
Yes sirs, that is my video, my star and my name on the front page of YouFreakingTube.
As a result, I have a lot more ratings and comments now, with people from all around the world using terms referring to homosexuals as derogatory signifiers for me, my loved ones and my project. Ah, the Internet.

Ask Rico*! I shoot with whatever my DP has! I have never owned a video camera of any kind.
I do not know much about this camera so I don't know if I'm gonna keep it or sell it or what. I will have to learn. Somehow I never actually thought I'd get _votes_.
I am a little disappointed to not get the chance to be in the movie, just because I love "Watchmen" so much, but being on the front page of YouTube has been freakin' insane, and makes for a great consolation. I still have no idea why they picked me, other than, well, sex sells.
* Speaking of which, everyone who hasn't yet should be sure to check out his video. He did a great job, and I thought it was not only one of the best "black and white wistful romance" ads, but one of the best ads in the whole run.

Btw, the HG10 is a HDD version of the HV10, so to speak. The ever-popular HV20 is just an upgrade from the HV10, so the HG10 is a pretty decent camcorder. Congrats
