As long as that's truly your goal, and you aren't expecting ANYTHING else. If it is, by all mean, have fun. Fun is a worthy pursuit. I'm just offering a warning of sorts; people here generally don't take kindly to such films.

While my main goal is just to do a fun movie that I can be happy with, I would like other people to enjoy it. I'll try and beef up the story in the next draft. There's alot of stuff I want to do with a story, to make it more interesting, but the problem is I really don't have the budget or the resources to pull it off. Except for small rooms, like offices, I really can't do interiors, and I don't have access to a large amount of people who would be willing to bei n the movie. So, I'm trying to write around that.

Ok, so here's what I have to say, Bgii_2000 is a lil off. Basically, he is saying about 100 nerds on these forums have seen jedi stuff, so the geeks are sick of it, he isnt referring to the other 6 billion people who actually have life's and dont watch fan films all day. tongue

So here is your #1 problem, you are NOT ready to make this movie! Your not even sure how to make a movie, let alone something with this scope and scale, it will not be a fun project for you, but rather a backbreaking one!!! You need to be a leader, but seems with your lack of knowledge, that others would have to lead you, that's not good film making on ANY level.

Everything that you want to do is doable, at a low cost, but you haven't acquired the discipline to do it. I would keep working on the script, but you really need to create a few short films and put them together yourself to help you better shoot to edit this fan film, which I take you have never done? This is not a project to go into for a starter without any experience. Trust me, make 2 short home movies, and it will open your eyes to the whole process more then you would think, as well.....

Now IS the time to share with people what you are doing, don't do what most people in your shoes will do, which is make the movie, then look for help, do all that in the pre-production phase so your FX team can help guide and understand you for on set shoots to make effects integration more practical.

(I.E. You gotta explain everything BEFORE!!!! Say you have a shot where a guy gets electrocuted, well, see whats gonna be better for the effects team to make it look real, if you flash lights on the guy in the scene and have your effects group add the lightning, or, would they prefer to have him lit during the shoot normally and add interactive lighting in post-production for better visual effects results. The scope and scale of your project is one in which EVERY question must be asked and answered before hand, Not when your finished with it.) I've seen too many times people ask me to remove green screen, and the guy is wearing a green hat, well, if they bought me on before hand, I woulda warned them.)

The scene with the lizards... get ride of it, it doesn't move the story along in any way, and is a waist of time, as well, great money, or volunteer work... The premise seem's a little too similar to episode 1.

My best advise, work on this, keep workin on it, (do some shorts while writing this) find some concept artist NOW, find rotoscopers and a strong visual effects team NOW, and the most important thing you will ever do with this production, surround yourself with GOOD producers NOW. If your in pre-production, which you are, now is the time to gather your army, not after the bombs drop, but before hand so your all up to speed with the technical aesthetic to the picture.

Yes, it can be done, Your not ready though... But whatever you do, theres some good talented people on here and I'm sure you'll find some help, and lemme know if you wanna go through with it as I can help do some producing and gather things you'll need.

Thanks for the advice, elemental. I am actually already planning to shoot a few movies (one is a fight scene and another is a comedy) before I tackle the Star Wars one, as I want it to be as good as I can make it. I'll definitley keep working on the script in the meantime, and I'm gonna try and take bgii's advice and try and put a little more story in there. I had a feeling the lizard seen was going to end up being cut anyways, so I'll be getting rid of that in the next draft for sure.

I'm always open to more help, so if you want to help produce, elemental, I'd be very appreciative.
