You can do a lot more than just lightsabers with AE 6.0. It may not be as optimized as newer versions are, but not everyone can afford nor justify the latest version. You do what you can with what you have.

I have AE 6.0.
Only work on a new, big project would justify purchasing the newer versions.

its fine for me. my only major complaint so far is the lack of motion tracking (standard edition at least)
