hey, thanks man. Do you mean other programs? The vfx team is using a bunch of programs including Shake & Maya as well as Terragen. Terragen 2 looks impressive. Anyone used it? feel free to email me about helping out. chris@hunt4gollum.com

looks pretty good... only thing i can see it being not like the films is that... hunt for gollum seems like it focuses just on the aragorn character chasing gollum.... where in jacksons films, it would go between frodo and sam destroying the ring, to a different setting with a big battle of armies including aragorn and legolas etc...
maybe you can cut to saurons forces too...
say a scene or two of the nazgul searching for gollum also

The teaser looks absolutely fantastic but I have a small complaint about the actual website, particularly the Cast page.
It is not mentioned who plays what character. Typically on a page such as this there would be the listing of the actor's name as well as the character they are portraying, with the optional bio. On this site, there is only the actor name and bio, with only a few of the bios actually mentioning which character they are playing.
That minor gripe aside, I think that the passion and dedication of your team (in addition to the production values) clearly show through and I look forward to viewing the completed work.

This looks completely and utterly epic in the highest Tolkien and Peter Jackson tradition. One of the most professional-looking fan films I've ever seen. All of the shots in that trailer looked it could've come right out of one of the films. I've read the books and I know the story you're going to tell, which is great fodder for fan films. I've barely seen any LOTR fan films made, and I'm glad someone of your callibur is making one. Keep up the pro work and get it done!

I don't usually watch fanfilms, but I think I'll make an exception with this one! The filming is beautiful, as are the landscapes. You've really captured Lord of the Rings, I think, and I look forward to seeing the movie!
I love the trailers too-- very nice. And the soundtrack is beautiful! Great work!
