I recently (finally) got enough money to go out an purchase Panasonic's AG-HVX200. 
Here is a short saber clip we film with it:

(Lightsabers are not rotoscoped because I don't have the time to do it.)
EDIT: Oh yeah, and there's no sound yet, cause I'm lazy.

HVX200A you mean. It has an improved sensor over the HVX200.
May you make some serious cash with that camera.
What settings did you use? Cine D gamma and the Cine-like color matrix?

I beleive so, yes. As well as setting it to 720/24p. (still trying to figure out how to import 1080i/24p into avid and/or final cut without the footage rendering out all interlaced)

Ah, thank you for liking it.
I saved up for about a year and a half working at a camera/equipment rental place.
My next major purchase will no doubt be a 35mm lens adapter.

I think the reason it gets garbled in the first part of the clip is a frame rate difference. Did you have the frame rate set to 24 when you rotoscoped it?

I kinda don't really see RVD as the end all, be all of saber battles. For me it's; RvB2, RvD, Art of the Saber, RvD2 ect. (I think art of the saber has better style, but RvD was shot better).
I also don't believe it's possible to 'take down' RvD with a saber battle, just because of how viral it has gotten. It was released at just the right time. Now everyone and their mom is doing a saber battle, and unless I do something in a saber duel, like, say, Accio Nuclear Warhead, I don't think it would even be noticed.
But that's off topic...
