	Hi everyone, I seem to have posted this on the wrong boards forgive me if this is a duplicate. Anyway, I wanted to share our new trailer with all of you and see what you had to say. I was able to pull myself away from post production to put this together so if you have a few seconds please stop by and take a look. The trailer only highlights one aspect of the film, be assured there are a few surprises in this one. 	That was pretty sweet, although the "thumping" sound seemed a few decibels too high. A lot of distortion in it. 	Prod design looks great! So does what I can see of the shooting style. My only gripe is that the lasers move way too slow IMO, but you said post-production isn't over so, yeah, that could all change. -----signature----- blarg

	Thanks everyone. As for the thumping sound, yeah at my level I don't have the greatest sound library and had to use what worked. I mixed it here with only my headphones and it doesn't seem loud to me but everyone's system is different And yes, the shots in this trailer were done some time ago and we've since sped up the blaster bolts after receiving similar feedback concerning the speed. 	Sure thing. Camera wise we shot everything using an HD JVC100 through the Red Rock Micro film lens adapter, we also had a small jib and a portable dolly system for a few of the shots. Since this my first film and more importantly my first time directing I had to learn everything along the way while we put everything together in pre-production. I got real lucky having good friends with good friends who had gear and other resources. The hardest things were finding locations and getting 40 plus people together in one spot at one time on multiple days with costumes who were willing to suffer through the Florida heat. We've submitted a rough cut of the film to the Dragon Con film festival and are waiting to hear if we've been accepted or not. We're optimistic that it's going to get in so we're looking at that as being our hard deadline for the completed piece. 	If you need any help finding any particular sound effects and/or want a decerning ear (ie a Sound Supervisor kind of role, I'd be happy to lend whatever support I can. I'm not going to be able to spend time mixing anything but I can help fill in the blanks with feedback and sound audio files that I might still have laying around. I have a lot of stormtrooper armor clattering sounds as well that I recorded myself (using my own 501st armor). Feel free to send me a PM. 	GREAT job with this trailer. Very, very impressive so far. I'm really digging the dark and gritty look you gave this. Very Un-Star Wars, which is perfect for a fan film. I can't say much else because the trailer is so cryptic, which I really liked as this is a teaser. 	Thanks again. Yeah, from the beginning we've wanted this film to have a completely different feel than Star Wars itself and really give it a type of modern style realism. I wanted to make something that wasn't funny and showed stormtroopers and mandos as soldiers and not something to use a comedic device. If you want more info we did a 501st pod cast interview a few weeks ago.
