Seeing how I live 15mins from Dragon*Con....slim chances i WONT be there...i typically go every year. This year will be a little less time b/c we need to save funds for the wedding/honeymoon. If this gets shown there, i'll see it (sobriety doubtful).

wow, great job. and i'm liking the full screen. Usually that bothers me, but it seems to work well with the visuals you have. Gives it more of a gritty war look, makes it less flashy and cinematic

Well I hope to see you there Madhorizons. We're still waiting to hear back from the film fest people so we've got our fingers crossed.

As for the full screen look. The film will be released in HD 1280x720 so the final won't be full screen. I put this trailer together with shots I pulled from a dvd version we did a few months ago so that's why it's at the current resolution.

Ok, we've officially been accepted into the Dragon Con film festival and have been told our showing will be sometime early Friday. If anyone here is going please come out and help us support the film as this will be the world premier and first ever public viewing.

Just a quick update to anyone going to Dragon Con. Our film is scheduled for 11:30am on Friday and it will also be on DragonCon TV this year in case you miss the big premier.

I really like the pacing of the trailer, and shooting style, but i really hope the effects live up to it. The Composition needs a bit of work to be a bit more believable, and definitely fix what looks like tracking issues. You might have to do it by hand if you don't have any good track marks. For example the dust explosion in the beginning. The last frame isn't tracked into position. Also it doesn't look like the blaster shots move with the camera.

Thank you for the critiques ElectroFilms, I can assure you that the effects in the final film have all been revised since the trailer was created. Being a fellow film maker like yourself I'm sure that you fully understand that nothing will ever reach true "perfection" no matter what the budget or crew available. All I can say is that I've done my absolute best with my given resources and if going frame by frame is what it takes to find fault then I take it as a huge compliment. Thank you.
