This is one of the strangest things I have ever seen. I click on the link and I get assaulted by about 20 porn pages each spawning their own pop-ups. I download link to disk and I get explosion1-7.mov but when I play them I get about 3minutes of html code slowly flashing by.

Anyone else want to share explosion clips?
Oh, and remember they are compressed with the On2 codec... you need it to view the clips!

Why do these things happen to me?
I thought I had succeded in finding a web hosting service but it seems it is rubbish.
Lets try geocities. If you get a message saying the page is unavalaible [EDIT: Geocities is EVIL. You WILL get said message], put an ? after the URL. I am starting to get mad.

These are great explosions!
Is it possible that you or someone could upload them with higher quality, and different/lower compression? I'd really like to use these, but some are a bit small and Ulead isn't liking On2 for some reason.

This is waht the boards need alot more of...NICE PEOPLE GIVING AWAY FREE STUF......You are a saintman, i need these explosions really badly, thanks alot....now...if someone will post a 3d mesh for 3d studio max of a sith pobe droid or something that looks like it........?............?.......anyone?

Well, I was so impressed by Obi-Juan's clips, that I decided to have yet another go at some CGI pyrotechnics myself. For the first time ever, I stumbled by accident across a reasonable combination of settings, and came up with the clip below. It certainly isn't perfect, but what do you good people think?
By the way, this is encoded with an ancient Microsoft MPEG4 codec that's been kicking around on my home system for a few years, so you might not find a codec that can deal with it. I'm afraid that, should this be the case, I can't really help with that. If nobody can play it, I'll try a different codec...

Mister-x, that was great thanks for contributing! Now I wonder, at the end of your explosion it gets darker... how will that key. I'll make a test and post it here.

Well, here you go. As I imagined, the dark smoke cloud turns transparent... the rest is pretty awesome by the way.
Test Explosion Clip Add a ? at the end if it does not work.

Dang, Mister-X. That is sweet. Did you do that in 3DS Max? Or did you have AfterBurn or something like it? If you did that with standard settings, in 3DS Max. WRITE A TUTORIAL RIGHT NOW!
