I liked everything but the audio, I couldn't really hear everything that the Jedi chick was saying. Kudos to the creators for length, though. And I'm glad to see more than one location in the film.

I'll be downloading it soon, but I can't help but be driven nuts by the name of the movie... RECIPROCITY... Sounds like a cooking show... Many receipes somehow incorporated into a movie. A city of Recipes! HAHAAH!! J/K

I saw it, finally. It was pretty cool. I'll bet those sabres took you FOREVER, but was it in ALAM? Anyways, VERY ncie 3d work, sabre work, cinematography, but it seemed to be lacking something and I have no idea what. Still, great job.

does indeed need a sequel! That meeting where "Inquisitor #2" (yes I must use quotes!) talked to Palpy at the end sure makes the viewer expect more.

RE: RECIPROCITY
Great job on the movie everyone! I'd been anticipating this one ever since I'd seen the trailer for it, and I was very impressed. Congrats all 'round. I just have a few quick questions:
1) I really liked the little mini-film that ran during the credits. When I first saw it I thought that maybe it was sort of a feed-in to a sequel with Inquisitor 2 off on a mission to assassinate a female Jedi in the city, only to be confronted by Soontar at the very end. Was this what you intended it to be, or were you just simply including your random cut footage without a real coherent story in mind?
2) The final credits seemed a tad confusing, as the only two characters that are specifically named (that I recall) are Soontar and Darth Rahn. Who is Sunrider, the Jedi he keeps seeing in his dreams? Likewise, I assume that Jedi 2 is her companion in the warehouse and Jedi 3 is the one we see during the credits, as are the "Jedi guards," is this correct?
3) And finally, as for the VERY cool scene with the thrown lightsaber decapitation of the two guards in the mini-movie, just out of curiosity were you inspired by one of the Ninja-assassination scenes in Shogun: Total war? In any case, it was very well done.
Great job on the movie, it really lived up to my expectations, especially the interaction between the two inquisitors; it's rare that you see character dialogue that flows that naturally in a fan film. Huzzah!

I love the creativity of this group of people. I never would put reciprocity togehter with recipe. That's classic
I like to think of reciprical when I think of reciprocity. Anyway, that was a good laugh. Thanks.
We didn't use ALAM for the LS glow effect, BTW. I did manage to crash MS Paint like 500 times working on the rotoscoping

RE: RECIPROCITY
"or were you just simply including your random cut footage without a real coherent story in mind?"
Yes and no. The footage of the Jedi (Colin) and myself was the original ending to the film that was cut. So it is a natural progression of the timeline. (A few of the lines from it are in the blooper reel, coming soon.) The night shots were presented to make it *seem* like Inquisitor #2 was on a mission alone, however, that footage was actually the original start to the film.
Making it look like the story moves on was my original plan for puting those scenes into the credits.
You were correct on the name credits though. We didn't really name to many of the characters. It seems every dialogue with a name got cut for some reason or another. ;-)
"just out of curiosity were you inspired by one of the Ninja-assassination scenes in Shogun: Total war?"
OMG! You win a free DVD copy! Or...something! Those little Shogun videos are actually what first sparked the idea of the film. I had been toying around with different script ideas, and took a break to play the game for the first time. I became captivated in the idea of assasians who also held honor, and were working for a government (not just Sith). I did some reasearch into the EU short storys, and found the Inquisitors(which I heavly modified for the script). The first scene was *very* heavy with imagery from those Shogun videos, prior to it being cut.

Man, I'm impressed. Not too bad guessing Shogun given you didn't see the entire sequence. If I remember correctly, that little sequence was a combination of the sword throw in Gladiator and Shogun. The Gladiatorish part isn't in the shot you are seeing, though.
I'm also impressed because I only know ONE person that played Shogun. Guess who that is

RE: RECIPROCITY
I'm kinda torn on this one. Don't take it personally, but I really liked the first segment of the film up until the two Sith met up with that weird accent guy.
What was up with that French-Canadian-Fargo vibe? It was really offputting.
I did like the whole scene involving the female Jedi giving the lead those disappointed looks and stuff, but after she died I lost interest in the story.
It just seemed to take on a whole new direction that didn't flow properly. Plus that other Sith guy made WAY TOO MANY wisecracks. I didn't enjoy hearing a Sith saying so many Freddy Krueger-ish jokes.
The FX were amazing, and some of the acting was good (except that Jedi guy in the forest, it was like Jim Carrey in a Three Musketeers outfit) and I like the whole 'bad guy becoming good' idea, but I didn't like how it just ended and it ran on a little to long.
What's with that extra footage over the end credits? Footage from the sequel? I would be interested to see it if it clears up some of the story problems.
Regardless of what I said above, good job!

You ain't heard good music 'till you heard Respighi.
Although the sound mix was a little full, I enjoyed the music, especially the non-Star Wars music. Pines of Rome, Fountains of Rome, and Roman Festivals are all great pieces of music, and I've always thought about what kind of images they could score. I get to hear the LA Philharmonic perform the latter two in a week.
Anyways, I enjoyed the film. A lot of thought went into each shot and it shows. Keep up the good work!
