OK, maybe it's a little thin, but nothing I couldn't change in post production. But check out those traaaiiilllss man, and that Ewan McGregor saber twirl, that's the good stuff. Whole thing was done in Blender. I got the robot from another site and changed it a little. (It's the same robot the guy used in Kid Wars but I altered the face.)

Btw all, dual phase light sabers were in the books... not just something that guy made up. They realigned the chrystals is the handle whick increased it's length and changed it's color too! Also, I believe it Luke skywalker... but his light saber is a lot longer than the nor mal 3ft. as you say.

im kinda new so HOW DO I MAKE THOSE COOL LIGHT SABERS
Couse ive got this kickass film but i havent learnt how to do it ive even got the real obi one konobi to act in it its really cool and all the cg looks so real but i still dont know how to do a lightsaber

Just thought I'd throw something in......
If you're making something that's just for fun, like one without sound, blah blah, Jasc Photoshop 7.0 (or any for that matter) and Jasc Animation 3.0 work great. I used those and made this.
It took me a half hour to put that all together, but check it out. It's pretty neat.

You mean you guys go through all that complicated stuff to get the effect of a lightsaber? Me, I just borrow a real one from the Jedi Temple whenever I need it!

Anyone know some good tutorials for making the lightsaber clash effect? I mean, for when the lightsabers hit, the glow/light that issues from it.
