Hello. I usually stay over in the Costuming/Props forums, but a stray thought just hit me and I would like some input. I thought about compiling all of the available information on the Star Wars universe and assembling it into an online library called The Jedi Archives. If this has already been done then by all means shut me up now, but I think I can build an impressive one-stop resource for the entire galaxy.

Boba Vitas encyclopedia www.cuswe.org tends to be the best resource around. wiki and wookipedia tend to pick up any slack. I find that new fan sites are usually better off focusing on something extremely specific, instead of something so vast. But its your free time, so do what makes you happy.

Welcome to the forum - as mentioned there are several great resources out there (also including the Star Wars Databank) so you may find it more worth your time to contribute to one of the larger indexes already up and running. Up to you of course, but either way I hope you enjoy the research!

Ok, I am not the type of person to try to make a good thing better, so how about this, I have had another thought while looking at some of the great sites that were pointed out to me, and I noticed a shortage of information pertaining to the history of the Galactic Republic, now known as the Old Republic. With 25,000 years of history to work with, that could be one impressive project. So what do you think??

That would be interesting. However, all of your hard work could end up being for nothing if/when a novel is written about the Old Republic.
