New Faces in the OFH!
September saw some additions to the OFH staff. We are pleased to announce that Jedi Trace will be helping Hama out in the South East and Nabooty_Call is back and will be helping Amidala Starkiller in the MidSouth once again.
RSAs away
Both Meriwyn and BrotherHalo will have spotty online time for the next couple weeks.
Main Page Posting
We discussed getting all RSA posting access to the TFN Main page. All RSAs are supposed to have this ability, but problems with the system have been cropping up and keeping several people from being able to post. We're still working on this. Still PM your RSA news that you want posted and it will be put up one way or another.
Anniversaries
Ideas for FF's 10th and Star Wars' 30th anniversary have been tossed around. Nothing definite to report yet and we're very open to ideas for both events.
FF vs JC
Relations between FanForce and the Jedi Council have going pretty well. Both sides have been working to increase communication between us, help each other out, and generally work as a team. One thing the six admins have done is create an archive forum for all threads that need to be removed from a forum, but that should be kept for whatever reason.
Privacy Notice
This has been posted in both the MS and the OFH, and should be posted in the CR forum as well. Anything posted in a private forum should stay private unless it is expressly stated in the thread that the info in it is free to be shared. This includes the MS, OFH, and the CR forum.
FanForce Community Trivia Game
Sign up for the Return of the Jedi Round starts October 2/3 and ends 10/18 8 am.
Mr. Star Wars 2007
Hama reports that the Mr Star Wars 2007 contest was a big hit this year at Dragon Con. They had a larger room this year and it was still over flowing.
Individual FanForces' News
[bChattanooga, TN:[/b]
Chattooine (Chattanooga FF) celebrated its 3rd anniversary on September 16th.
We held elections recently and have elected a new President - Congrats, April (Scarlet)!
Charlotte, NC:
In August the Charlotte Fan Force hosted Star Voyages: Page into the world of Science Fiction -- a multifandom event at a local library that encouraged people to expand their reading to include Science Fiction. Along with members of the Charlotte Fan Force the Rebel Legion, the 501st's Carolina Garrison and the Klingon Attack Group helped to host the event.
The event started with Jada, the Charlotte Fan Force Chapter Representative, conducting a story time reading the book "What is a Wookiee". After storytime everyone was treated to playing games such as Star Wars Monopoly, The Jar Jar Binks 3-D Adventure Game and PS2's Star Wars Legos.
Children from the library's math club and from Present Day ministries along with other folks participated were thrilled to pose with their favorite characters and interact with them.
All in all it was a good time for everyone!

Mississippi:
For the month of Oct the last 3 weekends, our chapter will once again help out with a charity haunted house put on by the Brandon and Pearl Exchange Club.
Denver, CO
Star Wars Fans of the Rockies, which includes members from the Rocky Mountain FanForce, the Mountain Garrison of the 501st, and the Mountain Base of the Rebel Legion, will be Racing for the Cure this year as a combined group. More than a dozen fans have banded together to support breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on October 7th. We've all be touched, in some way, by this disease, and after the death of the mother of one of the RMFF members, we decided it was time to work a little harder for the cure. Donations can be made to the team at the following site. http://www.komendenver.org/goto/StarWars
Help us Fight for the Cure, won't you?
Inland Empire
The Inland Empire Fan Force is participating in the yearly Charity Walk for the Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) at Disneyland on October 21st. Money raised by the event is donated to the children's hospital, which is one of the leading hospitals in Southern California for children's medical research.
Germany
Planning and coordination has started for Jedi Con in Düsseldorf. It will be March 21-23, 2008.
San Francisco, CA
The SFFF has been asked to be a part of the USPS Yoda Stamp unveiling in San Francisco on October 28th. The CR and two other members have done us proud with SW publicity this month, as they were three of the costumed members who were asked by Lucasfilm to be present for the ceremony of handing off Luke's Lightsaber to NASA to fly into space.
Europe
The European region, including UK, is in the planning stages of starting up a newsletter. More information can be found in the Europe Region General Discussion forum.
FF-UK
The FanForce UK has finally launched their new website! It can be found here: www.fanforce.co.uk.
