Seeing ESB as the best movie is just your point of view.

There hasn't been any reason yet, why Palpatine dissolved the senate. It can't have been just because of the alderaanian senator, she was just one and the senate is big.

By the way slavery was not accepted in the republic. The only planet where we have proof of slavery is Tattoine, a planet that according to the noble master Qui-Gon Jinn doesn't belong in the republic. It is a part of the empire though, and yet they did nothing to stop the crime-lords living there.

And the Jedi allowed slavery on the planet. Obi Wan knew of the planet and who controlled it. I didn't see them outraged about it.

When Tatooine was a part of the Empire and you didn't see slaves there. You saw everyone walking free, human, rodian, wookie, etc.

And lets talk about Solo, your glorious hero. Smuggling is not a good and noble business. He also agreed to pay back his debts but evaded that. I'm sure you would want this type of person as your friend.

And how about Skywalker. The noble Jedi who used the force to first choke two Gamorreans only doing their job and then grabbed a gun and tried to shoot Jabba in cold blood. He did pull the trigger. He would have been charged with attempted murder in court. He also uses the force to mind control Bib Fortuna.

And this line:

"The Rebel Alliance will continue to gain support in the Imperial Senate"

Sounds like to me consorting with the enemy. Good enough reason to dissolve the Senate.

And every poll I have seen says fans agree ESB is the best film and ROTJ is the worst.

Jedi aren't self-destructive, a sole Jedi against a planet would be quite hard and I he had to hidde, 'cause he had to fear for his life by the Jedi-Hunter.
The Empire tried to bring down first the Rebellion and then the crime, youself said, and Obi-Wan wanted first securaty for his last hope, Luke.

You judge a planet by one scene and since when was Tatooine part of the Empire, 'cause there was an Imperial Governor?

Skywalker tried to rescue a friend from a crime-lord. And the Empire did nothing to stop the regein of this crime-lord, so someone had to act. I am no fan of selfjustice, but if the goverment is corrupt and that is the last hope, it can only be better.

And why did the Rebellion gained support in the Senat, when the great Emperor was so popular. Let me try, 'cause all senator were corrupt?

And how would the rebellion have been able to corrupt senators, when they always lacked money.

Because some senators there did give them the much needed money (eg Mon Mothma, Garm Bel Iblis). Also, some nobles were willing to pay (Bail Organa).

Don't assume the rebellion was the only concern of the Empire. You tell us we should have done something to stop the crime and corruption in the galaxy but then complain when we shut down the senate that was known to be corrupt. Re: episode I senate scenes where we saw even the vice-chairman corrupted.

No, perhaps only 3 senators had Rebel sympathies, however unlikely, but there were scertainly other senators that were not honest and loyal citizens of the republic or the Empire.

Also, the Imperial Navy was never able to dispatch more than several dozen capital ships to hunt for the main Rebel forces, where it has been recorded that more than 25,000 Imperial Class Star Destroyers have existed by the time of the Classic Trilogy.

How do you explain such figures ?
Well it's plain simple : defending the Imperial borders from raids of Rim bandits of various sorts, ensuring the safety of trade lines and of the key systems in the Empire, protecting various key installations such as shipyards, patrolling their sectors to maintain peace, expanding known space and the Imperial borders, keeping enemy fleets from various systems to launch assaults versus each other, etc...

Those tasks and many other are also entrusted to the Navy. The Empire does its job well, no matter what you may say, and it is this very truth that was unfold to Rebel eyes when they undertook the hard task of governing a galaxy.

No matter what the methods and the motives are, the results are there and you Rebels are all too happy to have so strong a basis to rebuild an Empire on.

methode and motive is what makes a goverment good or evil... Allthough the end result maybe the same (controle of the galaxy), the way it's done can have a great impact on the future. For example: Hitlers result was impressive in the beginning, but the way he did this was less... His succes became his undoing.

Our motivation was to spread order. Our method was to unify the galaxy until the rebellion caused us to divert our methods.

If you had succeeded in the first place the rebellion wouldn't have been.
