im planning on getting this as my first star wars tattoo. and i heard its the symbol that represents the council and or each dot represents the basic principals....ect. i just really wanna know the full meaning of this symbol. if you could help me out that would be great. thanks.

Not really sure about the dots and thier meaning. I have only seen that image on posters at wallmart and stuff. Not bad for a tattoo, but If I were gonna go jedi, I would use something like this:

I think the first one is for the New Jedi Order. I could be mistaken.
