Hey Everybody! I'm a 17-year-old Star Wars fanatic, and my family just moved to a carribean country called Dominica for a year. It's inbetween a third-world and second-world country. I would like to see if anybody here shares my love for Star Wars, and want to start a fan club. Any ideas how best to get the word out there and get members? Also, any ideas of what sort of places I could have meetings in? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Congrats on the move and (judging by your post) welcome to the boards. I'd recommend the fanforce boards as a place to ask about this type of stuff.

Welcome Falleen! happy

It's great to see another fan around! grin

What do you mean by Fan Club? Do you mean a local FanForce? In this case you need to find two more people who also post their interest in an own FanForce. Then you'll get your own board and can discuss where to do meetings and what to do at meetings. There are thousand things you can do at a meeting, maybe going to the cinema together, going out for dinner, having a party, etc. happy

How to get more people from your area? That's a difficutl question. Either you look around the boards and if you find one you point them to this thread (to post their interest) or if you meet a SW fan in RL, you can always point them here as well. happy

I hope this helps a bit. But feel free to ask more questions. happy

As Skiara said, you will need to find 2 others in your area. You might try posting a thread about Dominica in the Fan Force Latin America forum. Also, speak to Spike_Spiegel as he is one of the RSAs for Latin America.

Good luck and welcome to Fan Force!
