Although I drink Diet, whether it's Pepsi or Coke, I think this holds true for both Diet and Regular: Coke is fizzier, and holds its fizz longer. The fizz is the only reason I'd rather drink soda than water or tea, etc. so I'm very much a Coca-Cola gal. And a Jedigal. And a hockey gal. And ....

I prefer Pepsi, but coke will do if it is out of a fountain machine. It just seems to taste different.

I'm noticing a trend here. Generally the male contingent votes for coke more then Pepsi and vice versa for the girls.
The truth is it doesn't matter, you can erode a nail in a can of any soft drink so you're drinking battery acid anyway. Wether it's the sugary sweeter taste of Pepsi or the one with more Kick and more refreshment, coke.
Coke is my battery acid of choice though by far. You know what would be cool to see? Someone shoot a film that mirrors the battle of Stirling in Braveheart where one side is Coke and the other Pepsi with Wallace of course leading the coke heads so that when we win, the appropriate name comes out on top.
