Thanks on the congrats.
Webkinz is a stuffed animal that you buy at the store, then go online, put the code in that you got with the animal, and then you can take care of it. You play games to get cash, then you can buy food, plus things to put in your room (and even buy more rooms). They have a gem hunt as well (mineing), a forest that you can look for charms (if you bought one in real life to unlock that part), a school for your pets to learn new things, and also an employment office where you can do jobs. I'm telling you, it's addicting.
Sounds like enopets

Sadly, yes. And even sadder, I only work one day next week for 8 hours. I have to find a new job. (But I still won't let go of this one... I get a good deal on clothes!)

Oh, I thought you were working fulltime or almost fulltime. I'm sorry to hear that they cut down your hours. Hopefully you'll find another good one soon.

I was working full time years ago at a bagel shop, then I got fired and went to work in retail (with clothes).

Do you like it? I did it for some time, but I hated the shifts, especially on weekends when all friends are off.

I like it there. We are like family, and I don't dislike going to work anymore. (Except for right now when I have to drag my butt off the computer and get ready.)
Plus they let me have the days off that I want.
Thanks moosemousse!

Yeah, and I guess that I got dragged away for a few days.
My family sets up at craft shows (basically people making stuff and selling it.) We used to make what we sell, but not anymore. It just wasn't making the money like it used to. This is what my mom does for a living. We used to make stuffed things, and sometimes we would paint those too (and dress them up... like a giraffe with the spots painted on, in a dress.) Now we sell costume jewelry, bracelets, and necklace/earring sets. They look really good quality, but they are at a good price. When we do these little shows like we did on Saturday, people ask us if we make it. While we are thinking no, we have to tell them that we know the designer and we set some stones. There was a lady there looking for handmade stuff for her craft show, and after we told her our little lie (not a complete lie though), she comes back with the remark of "Well, I don't want to have stuff at my show that people get at the store". (Which you could do.) My sister was pissed and she only said "Well, we are trying to get out of doing shows, so we don't want to do it". Now, the funny thing is, we sell our things in stores. We rent a booth at a craft mall, and they sell the things for us, while we pay them a percentage to do this.
Anyways, My mom went to McDonald's on Friday, and when she asked for minimal ice in her sweet tea, they didn't do so. She found this out when they went to Burger King for my niece and my mom drank it all in one gulp. They turned around and went back to McD's. (I say "they" because I was at work.) She went in and complained, and they gave her some more, this time with minimal ice. (Their defense was "well you push a button and a pre-determined amount of ice comes out. We don't dump any out so we don't waste it." Come on, it's water.) So she begins to walk out, and slips and falls on her knee on the unmarked wet floor. (I always said that people in that city where that McDonald's is located, are stupid. Well, they filled out an accident report and my mom goes home. When they got home, my sister and I decide that one of us should take her to the hospital and one should stay home with Cassie (my niece). I stay home. They were out until 3am (left around 11ish, got out around 1am or so). They had to get a knee brace (a big one), and crutches. She sprained her knee. I get to take Cassie to school tomorrow. She couldn't go to the craft show, so my sister and I had to do it. Didn't make much money.
At least I got to go to the car show today. What fun to see all the new cars.

That's a bad story about McD's. Sometimes I don't get those people, but on the other hand their bosses are very hard mostly and so they can't do anything what they would like to do.
But this weekend I had a positive experience at McD's. I ordered a coffee to go and they gave me a coffee in a glas. My feeling said 'no', stay on the 'to go' one, but I said, it's ok, because we planned to sit down at McD's anyways. I went upstairs and wanted to put my tray onto the table, but the glas slipped and felt down on the floor. Everything was broken.
I walked down again and asked for a new coffee, this time one 'to go' as I ordered first. And they gave me one for free without asking anything.

Ouch, glad that they gave you a refill though.
Sounds like a classy McDonald's, with them having an upstairs and all that.
All the snow melted, it was really warm today! I guess it was close to 30C but a few lower than that. (I saw it at 63F) Now there is water and mud everywhere.

Wow, I don't log in for two weeks and this place actually becomes alive!
Hey Cindy, it's good to see you again. It's been ages!
Congratulations on getting married. Who's the lucky one, someone we know? (I can't even remember if you were one of those with a JC boyfriend, it's been way too long indeed.)

Just joining the party.
Any of you happen to be bowlers (and I mean more or less serious league bowlers, not occasional ones)?
