I really recommend going on a weekday if you can. I went on a Monday morning and just about had the place to myself. Some of the rooms are kinda small and it is hard to get a good angle for a pic of the displays. If it is crowded that will only make things worse.
The venue is in the same area as the London Eye and the London Aquarium so you could easily make a day of it.

This would be after the convention closed for the day, right? If so, I might be interested.

This sounds a lot like the John Williams concert that was done in Canada Square a couple of years back, that was great fun.

3. timbolton
4. SithLordDarthRichie
I'd be up for the exhibition also.

Because Flo and I have to leave on Sunday evening and we don't want to miss too much of the CE, I would like to know if it's possible to go to the SW Exhibition on Thursday. Does anyone know the opening times for Thursday?
Thanks.

Here's the website for the exhibition. It opens at 10am. I might be wandering around there at some point on the Thursday as well with a friend from the US. We were thinking of doing that and the Gentle Giant event at Forbidden Planet.

Thanks, LAJ!
We'll think about going there on Thursday then - depends on the time we need at the airport and so on.
Has anyone been at the Exhibition already? How much time do we need at least? (Just in case we won't be able to go there early and only one or two hours are left.)

I went in early May and spent about an hour or so wandering around (and managed to miss a whole room - the Padme room). I'd have been there longer but it wasn't real crowded and the 'gift shop' is just a glorified snack stand-type vehicle outside at the exit. The building the exhibit is in is a former government building and Westminster Council wouldn't let them sell stuff inside. I bought a T-shirt but that was about it. The only figures they had were a few Kotobukiya ones. If you want figures & stuff head for Forbidden Planet afterward.

David, right now we don't know if we are going to the Exhibition, because on the one hand we (Flo and I) would like to meet the other FFer joining them on their way to the Forbidden Planet and on the other hand we aren't sure how interesting the Exhibition is, especially since we are at the CE during the whole weekend. But in the case we change our mind, I'll let you know.

If you want to see some pics I took at the exhibit, go here. Ignore the first pic of the life-size Animated Leia - it was in the window at FP when I went afterward so I took a pic for the Collecting folks. I apologize for the flash reflection - the exhibit is dark and it was hard to get an angle where it didn't reflect.
