Sunday was jam packed - the Army assualt course blocked the way for the hoards of people travelling round the event and I ended up being a crowd marshall at one point (hate to think of what it would have been like if there was an incident of any kind).
Just one question - anyone seen any figures of how many people attended the events over the three days please?

Saturday was more packed than Sunday - at least it seemed that way to me! The problem on Sunday was the heat. The main hall was way too warm.

True, Sunday was much warmer. I think it was the whole climate, not just the main hall.

Darth_Chrisious posted: here's something I noticed on the official CE page, many of the small time people are not getting paid and have some seemingly justified criticism of cards inc.
John Coppinger posted: As one of the guests it was great to meet people I like and spend time with them re-living Star Wars moments in surreal and sunny Docklands.
The show was okay, the pictures and prices were awful - So I hope the fans weren't too disappointed.
Re. Cards Inc. - Freelance folks get very tired of chasing payment for their work and appearances.
We're actually quite easy to please, and getting paid on time is just basic politeness.
Tim Dry posted: Star Wars UK actors such as Barrie Holland, Lightning Bear, Tim Dry, Toby Philpott,Sean Crawford etc.still HAVE NOT BEEN PAID by Cards. Inc (the organisers of CE)This is disgraceful. Especially as the quality of the pictures that they provided for us to autograph was terrible. And the prices charged were nothing to do with us!
Bogus Magus? posted:
I can only agree with Tim about the organisation. Of course, fans made the best of it, and we (the Jabba crew) managed to squeeze a little fun out of the event, but essentially it was a shambles and an embarrassment compared to (say) Celebration 3 in Indiananapolis which had space, comfort, all sorts of interesting events and displays, etc.
'Disappointed' would be the weakest word I would use, and yes, although we 'minor league' players didn't make much anyway (trying to sell over-priced and low quality items) it would be nice to actually get paid according to the terms of the contract.
I don't know about the stars but I do know that the costumed volunteers who signed an agreement to do X number of hours in costume in return for a ticket refund STILL have recieved nothing
