I desagree with you AT comander. When they were celebrating C2 I was looking for photos all around the internet to see what it was all about, because I couldnt not go. In that way I fell like been there and part of the C2. Remember that many people would like to go but for diferent reasons could not go. So the botom line is making the C3 DVD would be a colectible item for all of us that love SW.

I insist...Mary Franklin or steve sansweet or someone in charge of the C3 event...can it be posible to make the C3 event DVD ? (and maybe including past celebrations) please answer in this forum....

I just send an E-Mail to jeanette@gencon.com. telling the idea to make the CIII DVD. Hope she could pass the idea to the big guys and be a complete reality.
There is the jeanette E-mail if you want to let her know that you to are interested in the making of the CIII DVD.

I recieve answers from both:
Jeanette Keblish and Mary Franklin and this is their
coments about the CIII DVD. Well lets keep our fingers crossed.

We could do an independant dvd
i'll be bringing my video camera. If enough of us capture footage from the event, we could always combine as much footage as we can get and turn it into a DVD.

thats a great idea, but you know what...we need permits or we could go to jail, so the better thing its that Gen Con with lLcas make the oficial DVD for CIII

I'm thinking of doing a dvd for myself and my wife, as this will be our geeky honeymoon. 
I've already got the opening crawl figured out:

LOL GrandAdmiralStrife! That is a great opening crawl!
I have a feeling that they aren't going to make a DVD of C3. I'm going to be making my own documentary, which might be a "package" for my college's TV station, if my producer assigns it to me. Either way, I'll be filming at C3 no matter what. (Now all I need is to get Avid to edit everything. And a computer with a bigger hard drive...)
If I'm able to do it, I'll post it on the net somewhere.

I would definitely be interested in this. Even if the big guys don't produce one, I'd be interested in fan footage (since I won't have a video camera).

im pretty sure i'll be filming some stuff also. i doubt that it will be an organized documentary, but i'd rather have normal video than nothing.

I'm taking my digital cam corder to make my own.I did it for C2 but only got 30 min of footage due to a crappy cam corder.This time I bought a brand new digital one.

echo-3, good idea on getting a new camcorder. I just got mine last night. (With the 18 month 0% APR from Best Buy. ) I can't wait for C3!
(Yes, I am a geek... and a film student/Media Production Major... I'm going to try to make this "documentary" as good as I can. )
