I guess a lot depends on what you want to do. At C2, I did not attend any of the panels. That was just a personal choice. I didn't want to wait in the lines and I didn't want to get inadvertently spoiled. In one day I managed to get 9 of the 10 autographs I wanted, I lived in the dealers' area, got to play some computer games in the PC area, learned to play some of the card games, watched a bunch of fanfilms, saw some cool homemade Artoos, and a bunch of other small things. But then the next day, I had two goals: get the exclusive figure and Carrie Fisher's autograph. Both of those took up a larger bulk of that day. If the lines are more managable this time, I may attend some panels, but they are still not high on my priority list though I know lots of people who absolutely loved them and felt they were worth the wait. It definitely takes planning and you'll be able to get some sort of schedule ahead of time so you can pick out what you're interested in doing.

If you want to attend the larger stuff like actor's panels or presentations, expect to wait in line up to 2 hours in advance if you actually want to get in. On average I saw about 3-4 things a day on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, there wasn't as much content left so the lines weren't so bad.

First I waited in line at the C2 store for the figures, then I went to this:
12:30 -- 1:30 PM
The Empire Strikes Back
Kenneth Colley, Julian Glover, Richard LeParmentier, Michael Sheard
Then we broke for lunch, visited the dealer room for a bit. Then came back and went and waited in line for this:
5:45 -- 7:00 PM
Nick Gillard
Hayden Christensen
Then we went out for dinner and saw Spider-Man.
Here was Saturday's C2 Schedule:

Then waited in line for concert tickets, got them, went out for dinner, and then came back to wait in line for:

Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis

Circle City Chorus
Tony Exler, directing
So, you really have to budget a lot of line waiting if you want to see the more popular things.

The panels take place in large room with tons of folks. They're kind of like Q&A sessions, the celebs talk about their experiences with the films, fans, etc. The autograph session is basically standing in line to get your stuff signed. You might get the chance to talk with the celeb or have your picture taken with them, depending on the line. Some celebs with smaller parts like Imperial officers, X-Wing squadron members, etc. are normally very accessible and you can get a few moments with them to actually chat. Larger celebs like Fisher, Billy Dee, or Prowse basically end up shuttling the line along and you might snap a quick pic of them signing your stuff, but you normally won't get any time with them.

Alrighty then. 
So the autograph lines are separate from the panels.
Will the daily schedule for C3 be available when everything else is announced in the next couple weeks?

I'm sure they will release a preliminary schedule right away. but if you look at the date on those final C2 schedule pages on TOS, it looks like they will be tweaking right up until the end.

Yeah,it really depends on what you want to do.If you just wanna hang out in the dealers room or something. (I did that alot at C2) you can get in right way,and start buying/looking for stuff.If you want one of the big celeb's autographs.Expect to be in for a wait.A lady who I was in line with at C2 told me that she'd waited 7 hours for Carrie Fisher's autograph on Saturday.  Man,that would eat up your whole day.And also expect to be in for a wait for the exclusive figure.When I waited in line for Jorg at C2,it took 1 hour and 20 minutes from the time I started standing in line to the time I left with the figure.Other things will be more managable though.Like I only had to wait in line about 15-20 minutes to see AOTC costumes at C2.

The only big autograph I plan to go after is Hayden's, but that may change once they announce the guest list lol.
I read at the Indy Knights board (non-JC) that you can still say hello to any of the celebs you want and don't necessarily have to get their autograph.
