Any further word on provisions for foreigners?
I haven't investigated it myself since I already have a room reserved so I'm in no rush to get a badge and the code, so I figured I'd stay off the site and spare a teensy bit of bandwidth for now. :P
But either way I don't wanna even try to register until I know whether or not they're gonna ship me my stuff!

Be persistent... I was getting really discourged awhile ago, but it's getting faster now. I found that constantly reloading the page while it was sitting idle didn't work... just wait it out. Obviously, if IE gives up and gives the old "This page cannot be found" error, then obviously reload it.
And think, it only took 8 hours of frustration and keyboard slamming!

Based upon all the trouble people say they are having, I've decided to wait a few days.

The first time I got to the checkout page, I filled in my CC info and and submitted it. But I forgot the click the little circle beside "Credit Card." So I had to start all over and waste another hour and a half of server errors before I could get the checkout page to load again. When I finally got back to checkout and submitted my order (filled out completely this time), I sat there for nearly 15 full minutes waiting for it to process my order, but it finally went through. You really have to be patient and resist the urge to re-click submit buttons or refresh pages. I don't think any one page during the process took less than five minutes to load. It was pretty tedious, but now it's done.

I got my badges ordered but the alternate hotels I wanted to check were sold out by the time I got the code. Oh well. Nothing wrong with my pre-exisitng hotel reservation. Just more expensive....

the only reason I got my badges tonight was the hotel situation, I wanted to get into a hotel as close as possible to the action. If you've got your accommodations already lined up, I would say wait and spare yourself the hassle. It's not like they'll sell out of badges. Well I suppose it's possible, but I'm not counting on it. Who knows how many people they can pack in there, ten thousand? Twenty?

I can't believe it...well I guess I can. when I went to register, I did get on, but when I went to fill in the part where it says "will Call or Ship to Me", it says they only ship to US addresses. That is CRAP! Do they not realize that there other fans ALL OVER THE WORLD?? I live in Canada...What about people coming from Austraila, Europe?? That is rediculous!! How di I know they won't lose my order? I don't even know when theywill ship my tickets to me. I guess I will have to ship them to my parent's house in the States...what a bunch of crap!

i'm in canada too
edit: i guess we pick them up there, so since I can't have it mailed i can't get the darth vadar topper that I payed the shipping and handling for, I guess I shouldn't have ordered it.
edit: its really easy to get through now. all the pages came up instantly for me.

I emailed Mary Franklin about the deal for foreigners who wanted the family/friends-passes and the topper, and she said that we should get those at will call if we ordered it.
At the moment I have no problems with the site, I guess all in the US are sleeping.
