YOU DO NOT SMOKE AMONG COSTUMERS!
Costumers are not very interested in getting their costumes to smell bad. Getting costumes washed between days at a convention is not an option. Especially not considering that even the simplest-looking Jedi robes (which may have been made from linen, silk and/or wool) require dry cleaning.

I am thinking of having a second flightsuit ready for my TIE Pilot costume to remove the concern for it getting dirty and then not having the chance to wear it again.

Okay. I live 5 hours away and I was going to leave at about 4am. I'm seeing that that might be to late now, eh? Also, I am a hyperspace fan club member and I read about the One Hour Early get in so I am assuming there will be two lines??
Does anyone have any thoughts on the fan club getting in early and how long that line will be compared to the other??

it doesn't open until noon on thursday. i left at midnight last time on the day it started and arrived at 5:30am and i didn't see anyone in front of the ICC. remember, you'll gain an hour (well, depending where you're coming from) 'cause indy doesn't observe daylight savings time..so they'll be an hour behind east coast time in april.
on another scheduling note..it appears that it's running later than C:II. i thought C:II only went 'til about 8 or 9pm..TOS says 'til midnight on fri. and sat.

Well the venue will be open until midnight or so. But I'll bet that most vendors will be packed up by like 8 or 9 each night.

"Myself...I'll be bringing my camping chair (with cup holder), gameboy, and lots of snacks. Hopefully the weather will be nice"
Camping chair? Is that a good idea? You'll just carry it everywhere inside, that sounds like a burden in the end.
I will not bring any gameboy if I were you. The fun of the waiting in the line is to talk to other fans.

Yeah I definately had the chance to talk to folks from all around while waiting last time. It was great
Having done it already, there's really not much of a reason to get in line to get in early.
Unless there is an early event, you're not missing anything. At C2 I wanted to go to the opening ceremony. My non-Fan Club friends were nice enough to encourage me to go to the Fan Club only line so I could make it on time.
Not only did they get in 20 minutes before me, they also got in to the Ceremony, which I missed due to it filling up
But I did meet some great people, swapped stories, and saw some amazing costumes (bring a camera!)

Well, if you have Nintendo DS like I have, or PSP next month. Bring it, and we can all pictochat(on DS), or play network games on there. That is, if chatting with real human beings gets Boring.
As a matter of fact, it's a great idea, chat on the DS I mean via people standing in another place in!

Dex1138 - fortunately for me at C2 I made it into that opening ceremony. Sadly - it wasn't even 100% full! There were easily a few hundred empty seats. They stopped letting people in because they ran out of time... Pretty stupid trying to funnel everyone in through one small door of a huge hall. There are 20 entrances for a reason!
I emailed them several nasty messages about this type of thing after C2 - so hopefully it's a little better organised this time around. At least fill up the hall!!
