Good point, Kyle!
Also, nobody cares that you have a footnote in your term paper that includes a personal interview with a Star Wars celebrity. So do not ask them about the creation of the universe, some obscure math theorem, or the effect of tax breaks on the current economy, so you can put a quote from them in your paper. I had to listen to some idiot ask Richard Dreyfuss a long, retarded philosophical question at a Q&A one time. When he finally explained why he asked the question, he thought he was being funny, but the room was dead silent until someone in the back told him to sit his dumb @** down which drew huge applause. Then Dreyfuss said, "You heard the man," which almost blew the roof off the place.
OMG!! LMAO!!!!!!!
Hehe, wow, yeah I'd love to go out to dinner with Ewan or someone. But it never even occurred to me to ask them! Some people are just even more fanatical than me I guess.
I am!!!
LOL this whole Q&A convention thing reminds me of a very funny SpongeBob episode......
EDIT: Benae, great pic!!! Mayhew's awesome!!

My problem is that I freeze up and can't talk to a celebrity at all!
I got to stand REALLY REALLY close to Michael Shanks (of Stargate Legend), he even had his arm around me. All I could blabber on about was the importance of drinking water in high altitued areas! I felt so dumb, I couldn't think of a single thing to say.
I know that celebrities are just overly glorified people, but how can you hold an intelligent conversation with one?

I've gone up and asked questions before. What I do is I think of a couple of good questions early that day and jot them down so I don't forget them. If they're asked by someone ahead of me, I put a small x by the question and opt for one of the other questions. As I approach the mic, I silently practice how I'll ask the question. When it's my turn, I keep my focus strictly on the person on stage and act as if they're the only one in the room. That way, I don't worry about the audience and I think of the guest as someone to whom I am just asking a question to. Practice this a bit on your own, you'll be surprised at how easy it is.

Think of them as your best friend Also if you look them directly in the eye, it might make you nervous, look instead at the bridge of the nose. This way you seem like you are keeping eye contact, but you're not really Also if you saw any out-takes of them, think of that - then you are reminded that they are real people too

Good ideas
Its strange, I can talk to people I don't even know about the strangest thing, parade out in front of hundreds of people wearing a black catsuit and cracking a whip, but I can't utter one sensible word to someone who has been on a movie before!!

The pics were awesome, too. Those guys did some outstanding costumes. I'd have to say my favorite was ... well, all of them, really. And yes, JGoC looked like a feline you wouldn't want to mess with. Well, unless you're into that sorta thing...

Ahh, another suggestion about Q&A.
DON'T ASK "What was it like to play ..."
Overdone. Ask something original, for pete's sake!

Or even don't ask them what was it like to be in a Star Wars movie. I'm sure they've heard that one a million times... I think everyone knows what it would be like to be in a Star Wars movie... awesome!
Kyle... you overachiever.

So considering all of these limits to questions, what would be considered appropriate to other fans? Something like "What was the hardest part when you were training for the movie?" or "Did you ever see yourself as Anakin/Obi-Wan/Padme/Whomever when you were younger?"

I've always been a big fan of the compare/ contrast question. How do you study up for this role compared to another role? What's more rewarding to you, this or that? What was your ROTS experience compared to your AOTC experience? Something that makes them think.
And another bad question moment was having to hear, "What was it like to kiss Natalie Portman," every time I saw Hayden. What's he going to say? "It was like kissing my grandma?" "She uses too much tongue?" Please. Stupid question. Move along.
