You'll have to wait a little while longer. Still a lot of people out there who haven't decided if they're going yet or not, and as far as making a reservation, the room block won't be released until September or October. That's when people will start being able to formalize their plans.
Val - do you remember how long it was between the official announcement and the release of specifics for CIII? I'm surprised they announced CIV so far ahead and have since then been pretty quiet. Perhaps they wanted to gauge interest before making solid plans?

Well, they announced CIII on SW.com January, 23, 2004, and I paid for my reservation on September 27, 2004. I don't think it has anything to do with interest; they had to move some things around in Indy in 2004, so that took some time. Didn't have that problem in L.A. Also, SW fans are notorious for ferreting out information LOL, so there's no need to hold back on info that the average fan can found out on his own; might as well go ahead and make the official announcement, eh? In regards to the '04 timeline, they didn't start "talking" about anything until after Comic-Con that year, so I expect that pattern to continue this year.

Star Wars fan club The Mandalorians from Mississippi has 5 rooms. We are putting 4 in a room. Right now we have room for 6 guys for the guys room and 2 girls for the girls room. Be willing to share time on a air mattress but cheap price. Will only cost you $240.00 for 6 nights. We are a friendly group and for the most part goody two shoes. No smokers, few light drinkers and will hear a few bad words. Will get picked on along with the rest of us. Hotel 3/4 of a mile from C4. Money has to be paid by Sept 3rd.

I just read your requirements for a roomie.. Well, I am old at age 34, don't smoke, a social drinker, and don't care if I sleep on the floor. Spent 4 yrs in the Navy in my youth can sleep on just about anything. So if you can keep me in mind as a possible roomie please let me know.

If it helps, I'm Austrian, meaning I'll get the Governator to do whatever I ask for.
We're buddies- everyone in Austria is.

I am attending from Virginia and am still in the process of waiting to hear from the Housing group that will release the hotel rooms around the area. I would not mind rooming with some other folks and if you happen to be from the VA, MD, DC, NC area, then that is a plus. I will be trying to get a room as well and if I do then I will be soliciting for roommates also. If anyone at this time has extra space, please let me know. I am an original SW fan since 1977 and am looking forward to my first Celebration. I dont smoke, am an occasional drinker and just like to have fun wherever I go. Hopefully I can find someone(s) to help me out. Thanks

It would seem that the 3 of us are still looking form roomies.....I am a definite to go and dont care where I stay. The rates at the Miyako (sp) are $139 per night with tx...we could split it 3-4 ways with someone else. The room rates are $139 per night with a 14% tax. For 3 of us it would run about $315. For 4 it would be about $240. I am willing to bo in on this or even wait until the housing through the Authority hits. What do you think? As I said, I am a definite no matter what. I will even sleep on the floor just to go.
If there is anyone else out there who is interested or can offer a piece of a room, please let me know. Thanks

Well Irishnut and I are engaged now and C4 will be our honeymoon, so getting additional roommates may not be a good idea unless we get a suite with seperate bedrooms. That's still in discussion. We are also waiting until the badges go on sale and the hotels with room blocks are announced.

Xanthe_ShHarr has a room now. She is with us. We have 5 rooms and filling them up fast. Got room for 1 more female for girls room and 2 guys for the guys room. $320.00 for all 6 nights. Money has to be in no later than Oct 20th. 3/4 of a mile from C4. Mayfair Inn.

I take it that the $320 is per person for teh 6 nights?...if so I will join you guys in the rooms. You can email me at jsweb3@comcast.net and we can arrange all of the details about payment and gaurantee about being in the room. I will be coming in from Virginia so I will obviously meet you guys out there in LA. Are the reservations for the 24th to the 29th? Thanks again....I am really looking forward to this event.
